with TODs still possible + the fact that it costs 50 for the BASE game and then you either buy the season pass or buy each dlc on its own i dont think it will become anything other than a niche, i dont know why they made the game easier for newplayers yet still charge that absolute greedy amount of money for the base game alone, im still waiting for a company to realize the problem with fighting games is not the difficulty at all but the goddamn price tag, modern fighting games are literally the most overpriced multiplayer games on the market.
I've only played XX and Xrd casually but this will be the first GG I'm gonna start learning. Absolutely adore the art style and graphics! The music is icing on the cake.

Disappointing how only a few of the characters have overdrives are truly cinematic as opposed as simply having a cinematic starting pose that goes back to the default camera angle. Like the first one and the one at 0:31(those 2 not as cinematic as the others but cinematic enough with the shifting camera angles and focus and dramatic visuals) and of course 2:13, 1:26, 2:26.

They will I think like they didnt reveal IK in Xrd until before it released and it isnt guilty gear without them, like it isnt mortal kombat without fatalities or blazblue without its astral finishes

@@retromister81 1. Its pretty obvious. Every game had an Instant Kill, and ArcSys would never skim on this visual delight. 2. It takes time to create one, I presume, which adds to my point 1. They've already been pushing envelope with the amount of frames they use for the animation, but they also are likely giving character specific reactions, which means MORE work. Just you wait and see!

from my view, it's working out, I've only really watched videos on fighting games up to this point but this is the first real one I'm buying.

Overdrives usually aren't cinematic. Instakills will be full on cinematic, which I'm guessing they're saving for release.

Sorry for the late answer. ky has something called "gear cells" in his body that let him partially transform into a gear
