The thing about Bennett eating when you’re in the room is because you make him feel protected enough to eat. My cat wouldn’t eat without me in the room for a long time, so I researched it. They feel as if they have to look over their shoulder while eating because that’s when they’re vulnerable in the wild, so they feel safe when you’re there to watch their back.
My cat takes things to another level....if I'm eating she likes me to have her food out too so we eat together.

My cat us actually that way with water. If I don’t stand over her she won’t drink it

Oh by the way...next time you have a chocolate egg accident or similar and there's no stain remover in the house...try plain hydrogen peroxide. It's a central ingredient in products like OxyClean. You can mix with carbonated water too if you have any, like Calistoga or whatever. My husband had a cut that bled on his favorite shirt recently and I put hydrogen peroxide from our first aid kit on it, soaked a bit and then scrubbed/rinsed, worked perfectly!

I have to thank you for telling us about ACC when you bought Bennett. I had been having difficulty with adoption groups and they kept telling me no because I live in a studio.
Thanks to your recommendation, I was finally able to get a cat through ACC!

As always I love your TJ's haul because you alert me to cool stuff I didn't know about LOL. I'm now hooked on the hash browns and breakfast potatoes too. Thanks also for more dancing/singing content. So interesting! Great camera angle on the dancing...such a beautiful, peaceful sunny room-with-a-view and you move so gracefully as always! RE Bennett with his couch adventures--when I was a kid our cat would go through a cutout in the back of our clothes dryer and nap in there because it was so warm LOL.

Alexis there is a product that really works to stop cats from scratching in an area. It's called Feliway. It's a spray that you spray on the area you don't want the cat to scratch on. It's not toxic and really really works.
