    Really like your videos. You've influenced my choice on upgrades for my 2015 335i. Mine has some minor cosmetic defects, but it's my daily so eventually I'll get the cosmetics fixed up. Picked mine up last year with 71k on the clock, currently at 89k. 56 mile round trip 4 days a week and not a single issue. Love it. Keep the videos coming man! Love your ride. Hope mine looks as good as yours one day!

      @@vibez1190 hey bro, this-other guy commented back with his maintenance list I’m going to put it in quotation marks for you “I got the car with 50k miles, around 60k miles there was the beginning of a valve cover leak due to the gasket ( common issue) and I decided to do that before it got any worse.
      Did the usual brakes and pads ( I upgraded them tho) and have done trans oil and diff oil change, did the pulleys and belts around 78k miles ,did the Oil filter housing gasket at 80k miles and now it's been running fine with no issues. I did do my spark plugs and coils back around 53k miles when I bought it along with oil change etc. don't beat on it until the oil temp marker has hit between 160/250 which is like 200sh F, try to keep it light load until then and don't go past 2.5k rpm while warming up.”

      I can’t find any in my area with less than 80k miles. Do you guys think I’ll be fine with that many kms? It’s a clean n55 with good maintenance record

    I am an owner of a n55 EWG since 2018, In my experience for this euro car you have to be a great DIY guys, it requires a perfect maintenance, any leaks have to consider like a priority to fix it because can lead a major failure. I have another car 18 years old and 240k miles on it and never I had a problem or great replacement like turbo or rod bearings. This is a diesel multijet 1.3liter engine.

    Thank you for this breakdown! I have an E90 328 and I'm thinking about upgrading to either the F30 335i or F30 340i, so I'm definitely researching the common problems between these. I definitely trust your word since you also do your own maintenance on it.

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 года назад +2

      Glad I could offer some insight. I'd say the deciding factor for a F30 335i or 340i, is price and the power potential. If youre looking for good power potential youll want the 340i but thats of course if you can afford one since they are more pricey. They pretty much have the same reliability though even when tuned

      i just got a f30 335i a couple of months ago with 73k miles on it. Ive put on 9k miles in the last 6 months and ive had 0 issues. car is strong and feels brand new. the maintenance history was really good prior as well, in the shop every 3k miles for service. took it to 2-3 differnet m techs and they all said the car was super strong and doesnt show any signs that i need to get rid of it. these cars are reliable and all the techs i talked to they all love them and all say they are amazing cars. just a bad name put on them, but cant go wrong with either or! n55 just sounds amazing as well.

    Mines been great aside from a p00bd MAF sensor code. Gives me rough idle and shit fuel economy . Haven’t figured out what the exact problem is, sensor seems fine, charge pipe is fine intake and turbo inlet are fine no cracks. Hoping it’s just the maf sensor that needs to be replaced

    QUESTION: I was gonna buy an n54 until i was told about how bad that engine is reliability wise and now im looking into the f30 335 considering that engine is better and the chassis over all looks better (imo) would it be smart to finance one of these cars? around my area they aren't really expensive and I do want something fun with a decent amount of speed

    • @btort8750
      @btort8750 Год назад +1

      It would be fine to finance this car, the prices on them are going down slowly for all cars. If you see one that has all the features you want, for me it was m sport front bumper, heads up display and a red interior. I spent $650+$500 to do the m sport conversion so you have to factor that in. Pretty reliable car, but i hear n54 is much more unreliable, but way better power potential. But if it was me id get 340i b58 than spending money on the n54, it could exceed the $ you spent on the n54 lol

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  Год назад +2

      I also think it would be fine to finance. If you're not looking to be the fastest car and trying to race people, the N55 offers plenty of tuning potential to have some fun driving around. But yeah just make sure you don't rush in to a purchase. do some research on all the specs you'd want and try to wait till you find one with your desired specs. 340i's with the B58 would be a better balance of tuning potential and reliability but they still are pretty expensive.

    I like my n55 ewg, I have 2014 as well. It has been reliable as well. Only issue I had is front strut leaking but it also has 88k miles.I’m planning to upgrade turbo to pure stage 2 which will be as fast as G30 FBO M340i with stock turbo.

    • @InlineSixAuto
      @InlineSixAuto  2 года назад

      Wow that sounds like its gonna be fun! I actually had the same issue with strut leaking on mine too but I quickly got coilovers. I dont think ill upgrade the turbo on mine. I'd rather get an M3 or B58 and do that

    • @Areku06
      @Areku06 2 года назад +2

      @@InlineSixAuto FBO f30 340i with upgraded HPFP can make as much power as pure stage 2 n55 with upgraded HPFP which is plenty of power, my goal around 500whp with pure stage 2. My 335i is FBO on e85 is around 400whp which is plenty enough for me at the moment. But with California smog, it might be tricky with fuel pump. These cars are very quick for 100-200kph which is about 8.3s FBO and e20 tune, pure stage 2 around 7.5s on stock fuel system (f90 m5 territory), upgraded hpfp with e85 and you can dip into 6.5s-6.8s, which is what stage 1 f90 M5 runs and stage 2 f80 m3.
