Thanks so much for your tutorials. I enjoy them very much and learn so many new things each video. I bought my set of paints many years ago and decided to put them to use a few weeks ago. Having never painted on canvas or painting a scene or landscape, I needed very specific instructions. Very great experience and am looking forward to following you for the third project.

hello Allison, Been some time since I wrote to you. I am still reaping the benefits of your tutorials. Forever grateful dear. Imparting knowledge is something which is priceless. If I were God you will have the best of whatever you wish. And so would others of your ilk. You are putting a lot of happiness in other people's lives. Just for the sake of doing it. Take care.

Dear Allison (if you permit me to address you this way), you said that there are many different ways to approach a painting, but I still think that if your approach is not THE best it still one of the best there is. Regarding my experience in painting, (about which I told you in another upload) it deals mostly about comic book art and portraits. Basically if I can teach you anything (which I doubt) it is about to go to the basic shape first for anything you want to draw or paint. For example, today when I start a portrait I just see the head in general and carefully sketch the skull with the right angle. The same with a cabin - I try to see the square underneath and build on that. If you look up, 'How to draw comics the marvel way' which about the lamented great artist John Buscema you will find he can explain it far better than me. It is basically what Cezanne preached about fitting everything into a square sphere or cylinder. To be fair there are other good tutorials (Brandon Schaefer comes to my mind). But your tutorials have shown me exactly where I was always going wrong. Yesterday I started really tackling your approach and I am very excited by it. So thanks a million. I am a bit emotional and hasty so your patience has inspired me to take things a bit slower. And your humor is very very relaxing. People like you and Brandon make the world a better place to live in. Sorry this was a bit too long. Wish you all the best and as Brandon says when he crosses his fingers. - PEACE.

Hi Katie, all you need is 3 primary's, red, yellow and Blue, and Brown, green, black and white, can be any red's etc, or cad red, cad yellow, ultramarine blue, burnt umber, sap green, you can even make your own brown by adding red and green together, or all primary's, and your own green adding blue and yellow, purple red and blue, add white or black to lighten or darken the colors or values, I hope that helps, Happy Painting..
