Impressive victory from Sian Ainsley. Britts young guns are on the top now. Great 2nd place for Katie. Kristin is back and putting pressure in the US Female field for #Paris2024
Yikes, I spent the 60's and 70's based in Hong Kong while in the Navy, and you can rest assured that you wouldn't want to swim in the harbour at that time. Obviously the new Chinese Authorities have cleaned the harbour up considerably.
To be fair I can’t think of a country where tri is one of the top sports and gets that country’s best athletes. its just more of a niche sport where people who are into either running or swimming or biking get into and then learn the other disciplines. It will never really be a major sport. Its fun as hell to watch though.
@@MrOasis316 i agree. i do think some of the european countries like france and the UK have a bit more interest in triathlon competition, but for the most part yeah we are dominated by the major team sports

I thought slip streaming was not allowed in the cycle sector.

Harbour must have cleaned up a lot since I lived there in the early 90s

Sports washing alive and well in HK.

If USA wants tri champs, they need to put in the $$$. Make tri a "cool" sport- right now, football and basketball dominate our best athletes.

HK is not China :D
will anyone say how many got sick due to dirty water? Are they waiting for someone to die until it is being taken seriously?
Is it not normal to test the water before all these pro events 😮
@@Mf19593 it is, but they would not allow to cancel second event in a row, so they must have stretched it a bit
