Great job man! 2 consoles. An electric one downstairs and a mechanical one upstairs. When I played the electric one also the other one is playing! Thanks, Martin
Hey! Much love Martin! Such a phenomenal thing to be able to see. You Sir, have quite the talent with beautiful instruments :) I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment brother! It means the world!
A organ this big i have never seen in the Netherlands maybe there is one but i don't know it. This is just wonderful. I would love to hear it live it is totally different then hearing it on cd or in a video clip Just read that this organ is quite new from 1989 so it has all the modern Technologies available and it build by a Dutch organ builder Jan van den Heuvel The city council of Paris still considers the Van den Heuvel organ of the Saint-Eustache to be the most prestigious organ in France. In recent years, the cathedral church has been struck by lightning several times. During these impacts not only equipment in the church was damaged, but also electronics in the organ. Because after 21 years it became increasingly difficult to find old electronic components, the city council decided to modernize everything and expand the organ with even more possibilities. The setzer has been renewed and there are now 20,000 programmable combinations that can be written to a USB stick. The register combination possibilities have thus become unprecedentedly large.
The organist plays on a console /keyboard remote from the main keyboard,it is connected to that one electronically, and is programmable . One of the famous organs of Europe, 3000 pipes !!!
This organ has 2 consoles. One is attached to the organ, the other one is in the Church itself and it is electric. If you play on the remote console, the upper console at the organ moves along with it. He's basically playing the organ on remote control.
If interested, you could also watch Gert van Hoef, he's one of a kind. I really like his improvisation: "Eens, als de bazuinen klinken", it's such an uplifting melody!
In case you haven’t noticed; do you remember the organ from Mannenzang Katwijk? This organ is its big brother build by the same manufacturer. Are you familiar with midi technique? It’s quite interesting. Your facial expressions made my day. 😃
Hi I am sure you will like to see 2 videos from rob scallon about pipe organ the first one shows the working insides of pipe in the whole church in the second one heconnects the organ to his lap top he also got avideo abouta huge bell tower
