Now, into the comparison between the 458 speciale and the 488, I'd say the main reason is that the 458 has an N/A engine while the 488 has a turbo engine, so I'd like to know if you feel some turbo lag on the 488. If I had to choose, I would choose the 458 speciale without thinking twice, because of the instant response of the NA engine and also the sound! The 488 sound isn't bad, but the 458 speciale sound is gorgeous (as you are too!)
+Motors Unite How do anti-lag systems work, by the way? Also, I don't know about the ferrari, but some Turbo cars have their rpm limit lower than a na engine. I'm thinking on Hondas, which had 8~9k rpm limit with na engines, and now with the turbo civic Type R, the rpm limit is around 7k... But some people say that the torque made by turbo engines make turbo engines better than the high rpms of na engines
+Motors Unite I did some search on the internet and it looks like it has something to do with ignition timing, and I think it's mostly used on racing rally cars because the engine needs to be strong, so street cars don't use that technique I think. But nowadays, with so many manufacturers producing cars with turbos, probably they are creating new ways to reduce turbo lag
Problem is there's a big waiting list so unless your prepared to wait 12-18 months then you have to buy one used for a mark up on sticker and get not your ideal spec
The sound of that motor is sublime. Come on Emma it was not the first time and it certainly will not be the last time you will receive a marriage proposal, hopefully somewhere down the line it will come from the man that was on your right in the video ;-)

No matter what, when you get a chance to drive a supercar, always a good day in the seat. I agree with Archie, you need to some seat time in a Speciale. Also, as usual, you're keeping it classy. Suggestion: for all those women who travel in supercars, you should do a segment on how to 'down size' your wardrobe to fit into a supercar. The men would be quite grateful!
Compare like with like I.e. 488 v 458 not 458 speciale. For me 458 spyder with carbon seats, black leather with Italian flag stripes down the centre and an Akrapovic exhaust.
If you want to pronounce speciale in italian you have to end the word with the e of elephanth. But you can pronounce as you prefere. Great video and thank you!
Nice video, and the interior would maybe look bettar also if it was darker "saddlebrown" with black stitching. But shouldn´t a Ferrari be red? The "Rosso Corsa" red is nice. Would be my choice if I had the funds to obtain a 458 Speciale or a 488. =)
A comment to the driving around London.. I have a few more points to add.. insanely narrow streets, and cars are parked EVERYWHERE, so zig-zag driving is all too common. For a foreigner, driving on the wrong side of the road (the left side is of course the wrong side!) isn't helping either.
