Would’ve been better for the PH team if coach yeng guiao included terrence romeo in the final lineup this coming world cup. Regarding the taiwanese team, they are still a dangerous team with stars like Ray Chen and Yi hsiang Chou.
Strugglin to beat a weak team like Taipei is laughable. Romeo is just a playgroung player without enough fundamentals and basketball IQ to drive a team properly. His shooting is poor as well even in weak PBA

Ray chen will lead taiwan in the future tournaments. Romeo has matured, he now prioritizes pass more than scoring, especially now that he's traded to Castro williams team in the philippine league. I expect more of Ray chen and the rest of taiwan team in the future, they are very good players.

hero ball player who can't play defense. i remember from the previous Jones Cup game against ateneo a college ball team from PH, when their coach ask him to miss the free throw to burn the clock but he didn't his coach scolded him for disobeying and instead of apologizing he got mad back at his coach.
What was clear in this game was when gilas put the ball on the floor taiwan couldn't stop the ball

As always Taiwan is relying too much on 3 points which is bad. It was like in their SBL league that look like 3 points shoot out game most of the time. LOL. They must learn how to use the paint, drive and penetrate on the defense of the opponent. Taiwan should train their guards to move like Romeo and Jayson that can penetrate and drive to the basket.
