Everything about this song makes it a modern day masterpiece. Singable, relatable lyrics. Full guitar parts and a fun solo. Banging drums. Even the good ol country keys. Makes one hell of a good song.

So many of his songs are like that, from Don’t Take the Girl to Live Like You are Dying. I can’t get through either song without crying. Especially when he gets to the part about going fishing with his dad the year he died 😢 I wish I’d had the foresight to do that with mine before he got too sick to go. Hopefully he’s fishing 24/7 with his dad & brother.

This song will always hold a special memory for me. It's just my average day working at Chick-Fil-A, I'm on my break listening to this song, and shortly after the song is over, I get back on the clock. The guest standing at the register, asked for a lemonade refill. As I took his cup and walked over to the lemonade machine, I sang, "You had a suntan line and lipstick." The guest said, "Sing it!" So I went on singing, "I worked so hard for that first kiss and a heart don't forget, something like that." At that point I finished the refill and returned the cup to him and asked, "You like Tim McGraw?" The guy said, "Oh yes, I go to the off the rails country musical festival every year, some included the golden greats such as Hank Williams and Merle Haggard." My response is, "Nice man, saw George Strait and Garth Brooks in concert last year and I am a big country music fan." His response, "Me too, you have an awesome day sir!" My response, "You do the same sir!". I think its safe to say I impacted a life at Chick-Fil-A for the better thanks to this song.

I was once driving my jeep with no doors nor roof heading down to Walmart and listening to this song. While a stop light, a man joined me in singing this song. At the Walmart parking lot he said to me. Boy, what a song you're listening. Then jokingly he said, you are the whitest brown man I've met. We both had a laughs. We then talked for almost 1 hour at Walmart parking lot having a good time. We had some sodas. I'll never forget that experience.

There are some artists I would give ANYTHING to see live. I’ve been lucky enough to see Jason Aldean - he puts on an absolutely KILLER show. Never pass up a chance to see him live. I’ve seen Luke Bryan - amazing artist and human. I’ve even been lucky enough to see Taylor Swift twice, on tour for Speak Now and 1989.
But I would DIE to see someone like Tim freaking McGraw. His concert would be better than all of the above COMBINED. There aren’t very many artists I would give anything to see as much as I would give ANYTHING to see Tim. His music is so timeless.💙
I saw him live and it's one of the best shows I have seen and I'm not even that big a country fan. Right up there next to my favorites Smashing Pumpkins and Toadies.
