Its way easier than youd think! Theres also a bunch of tutorials on youtube :) I mean maybe not the splits and stuff but certainly the other moves arent super hard
It's a major workout but Super Duper fun. I used to dance like about 10-12 yrs ago, (I was in my 20's), & It's Definitely one of the funnest things I've ever done!
My mother danced in a troupe with that guy's daughter (between the Nicholas Btothers). Yup, that's CAB CALLOWAY, laying it down! With every genre, you get into the purity of the music (slave quartets entertainment, distilled to become Minstrel dances, Gandy dancers of Europe, Ragtime, Jazz, I could go on). Sometime when you're deep in the revelry, only then for a sec, you might notice the people around you, but hey, you're all into the music, right? You don't need a translator for the language of music and movement (ask any Euro who lost while watching Anita Baker running down the Banana Dance)!
I'm sold! I will be listening to this music from now on and I am forcing myself to learn to dance like them. So whenever I go to a party or club, i will slip a tip to the DJ to drop this song and throw down on the dance floor. Dreams I will make into reality.
@@BeeLZBeeb Fun but am so terrible. The best part of this is the fact my 6 year old son and my 3 year old daughter join me in the dance. So I don't feel as bad. They are my encouragement .lol
@@anneugartechea7650 OMG! Yes it is a lot of sweat and work. I watched so many different videos and I am super amazed on their skills. If I can just clone their feet on mine then i can keep the rhythm. So many twist, turns hops. Overall so much fun. i can't dance to this without smiling every time
hermosas melodías de esas épocas, me viera gustado vivirlas, son lo mejor de las melodías para representar el amor de verdad que podemos demostrar a esa persona ideal
(in order of first appearance) Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, The Nicholas Brothers, Fred Astaire by himself, sadly i don't recognize the man who makes the dancers disappear and clothes change color, and i'm pretty sure that's Lucille Ball singing the song. Love it!
Learn from your ELDERS, whose artistry, you dismissed as old hat. Biggest ,Brit band's of the 60s WORSHIPPED the artists we summarily put out to pasture (Muddy, Chuck, Little Richard et al). Europe imported these artists. CHUCK JACKSON was flown to London to teach the new kid the art of inflection and stylization of songs (that kid was TOM JONES). Listen to MICK's cover of IT'S ALL OVER NOW, then hear the original by BOBBY WOMACKs band.. Sheeesh!
Clap your hands! And you swing out wide Stomp your feet! You swing out wide Do a bump! And you swing out wide Truck a little bit Beat it out and Make it! Everybody's happy when they're doing the jive
Visually and audibly great, rhythmic dope for rhythmic high! what's the movie at 2:19? and the name of the movie with Lucy as a stripper dancer? Classy creative mega-blend; sight and sound.
Yhn Eon and that sequencer is from the film "Stormy Night", a big, all black cast, film extravaganza. Worth watching for the all around great performances.
okay but i was listening to frenchcore and i just found this, H O W. btw the song makes me really happy and i love their amazing dance skills!! (sorry for the eventuals grammatical errors but i'm from italy and i'm not sure if this is all correct or not haha^^)
No les pasa que están en el centro comercial, en la plaza o el paradero de buses escuchan esto en los audífonos e inmediatamente les dan ganas de bailar y darlo todo en ese instante 😸
Hahaha, when I was a teenager in the 80's, I told my grandma Jeannie, that those people only danced like that in the movies, or for those days long dance contests. She just laughed & shook her head, then she told me that she danced like that, & that everyone danced like that. I was simply aghast, & slightly dismayed at the fact that my little old grandma danced like that, & here I was a Punker/proto Goth who looked outrageous!
I was always interested in old stuff, but I never found anything satisfying but my search is over. This is it. I feel in love with it.
The Nicholas brothers and cab Calloway the best combo
Shake your tail feathers is a great song
If you are interested in old music I really can recommend ray Charles and cab Calloway
The original song comes from Glenn Miller's 'doin' the jive'.
Though I do recommend Cab Calloway as well.
Who needs a gym when you dance like that!
I wish

All of Lucy's dancing here is from the 1940 movie "Dance, Girl, Dance"
I'm surprised this isn't one of his better known tracks.. this is a banger!

Yhn Eon and that sequencer is from the film "Stormy Night", a big, all black cast, film extravaganza. Worth watching for the all around great performances.
Those are the Nicholas brothers, they really know how to dance. You should also check out a song with them in it. It's called "Jumpin Jive"
Hey, my new account *shrug*
This is such a good music and dancing ^^

Thats Lucille Ball dancing too ! She was Gorgeous and an Awesome dancer
These dancing skills are fucking WILD
i did a tap routine to this for my end of year showcase. it was a lot of fun TBH.
I feel like this is the sort of music that should of been in fallout new vages. Like keeping the retro vibe but more upbeat.
Best part of the Nicholas Brothers dance on this is a good part of it was adlibed to add time that they had allotted
I miss old school cinema :/
Upload more 🔥🔥 pretty good 👌 stufff
Yo this slaps hard
this video is so fantastic! I thought it was the official video. It should be!!
Back when people could actually dance unlike today
Merçi ❤
1:30 I see a VERY unconfortable musician!
Love this!
Lucille Ball clips are from "Dance Girl, Dance" (1940)
I really thanks RUclips for this masterpiece ✌️🥺
Clap on clap off❤
Ginger Rogers-backwards and in high heels. ;)
I can’t believe I found it I did the Charleston to this and it was so hard to find it cause I could hardly hear the lyrics
Do you mean "The Little Charleston"?
The nicholas brothers true legends
And I feel like I've done something when I have walked around the mall...
Bloke on the trumpet at 1.38 has had enough
AMO ESTA MÚSICA
0:34 the video that starts there is Hit that jive jack, just remembered xD
Smooth.
Did she dab at 0:42
Yes
O God... Do song like these have a genre?
I like this song for some reason

The actual song is called Doin the Jive and it’s not by Parov Stelar
YES exacty I am a jazz player its not her
Sand June I think people have been getting confused because everyone uses the cover instead of the original song
rat kid, Thank you for the info, I do like authentic music with no modern editing.
