I honestly think there was something up with that rim. UK couldn't make anything in the first half on it, and the GU couldn't make shots on it in the second half. The shooting percentages basically inverted from the first half to the second.

Those 9 points were not so much "drying up" as it was the adjustments made on UK's defensive end. The Zags are an easy Final Four team, excellent team play with the best PG in D1 and have a GREAT coach.

Kentucky is a pretty legit team this year. 16 point halftime deficit to come back and win. Honestly they should had won that Clemson game as well. Lost to a good team.
refs were terrible for that clemson win, it was basically not basketball, they were holding on every action off ball and the refs were chalking it up to physical basketball... 9/10 ref crews that game doesnt work out that way.
Another thing, Pope runs a system that’s designed to make guys tired. He runs 9-11 guys. He runs an offense that’s literally designed to make teams wear down and lose their legs. And that’s what happened to Gonzaga and it’s the same thing that happened to Duke. He played for Pitino at UK, it’s how he learned the game. So this nonsense about “we just missed shots” yes you did because Kentuckys defense wore you down. We also run a lot of action on offense and Gonzaga just ain’t conditioned for it. So few saying a lot of things here not giving the full story. Gonzaga was gassed in the second half by design. And few didn’t slow it down which is what he should have done. He chose to continue to play fast because he thinks he’s too good to change his style and he’s arrogant. Well, Gonzaga isn’t Kentucky. And this is t Calipari’s Kentucky. We have 8 national titles to Gonzaga 0. Our coach has actually won a championship Few hasn’t. If I were him I’d show respect to the superior program.
