    just as a tip, your roof windows inner piece has a maximum width of the roof, and you have exceeded it, some roof windows has different heights of those inner trims to fit with thicker roofs.
    i think in this case you should install the inner trim first and then clad it around it, otherwise you have to order different trim.. thumbs up for you two ! it isnt never easy 😃

    Great conversion of your Sprinter van!
    The only comment I would like to make is that I thought I saw some cables through the body of the van being unprotected, please check that carefully to prevent short circuits/failures in the future.
    Due to vibrations, it sometimes happens that the insulation around the cables wears out and causes malfunctions that can even lead to a fire!
    As a former professional commercial vehicle builder, that was the first thing that was told, never an unprotected cable through the body.

    • @lifeadventureprojects
      @lifeadventureprojects  Год назад

      Thanks very much, the ones on the drive side will be protected. Question though, I have put all my cables behind cladding running along the corner, the part above the door is in conduit but the rest I left and tied to the van. Will that be okay as has quite a lot of space and is not through any sharp parts or the van.

    • @edwinkrikhaar7223
      @edwinkrikhaar7223 Год назад

      @@lifeadventureprojects No thanks, many eyes see more than four and so you can help each other to give you both many years of enjoyment from the campervan.
      What I meant were wires that come through the body without rubber grommet around it, you can easily solve this by putting a piece of hose or something around it so that it cannot be damaged.
      Good luck with the build and will definitely follow you as it's nice to see how each person realizes their own ideas!

    Question ; why did you leave a void between the cladding and the vapour barrier , could you not have stuffed that void with Rockwool or Fibreglass fireproof insulation , surely every possible space should be stuffed with insulation ??
    Anyhoo , great content and lovely pussycat , I look forward to your continuing build , have fun

    • @lifeadventureprojects
      @lifeadventureprojects  Год назад

      Thanks bud. I think the gap looks bigger on camera. We have insulation on the roof and a vapour barrier. Having a small gap is good and is often said to be good practice. But now you said it I will relook tomorrow! Thanks for your support, it is really appreciated!

  • @mishafrog8786
    @mishafrog8786 Год назад

    Problem with dark wood it makes the area feel smaller and your ceiling lower , think i would have used insulated pvc cladding in white with the gold or silver strips between each tongue and groove similar to whats used in home bathrooms it would make it lighter and brighter overall , Also your LED lighting ! purchase the correct ones that you can put a dimmer switch on instead of full power brightness. Not to sure about your rear doors carpeted fully , thats going to be a soggy sponge if it gets wet in the rain next to your bedding. A little more planning for each weekend of supplys you need, going to B/Q each week is eating up your time badly.
