i also dont have Restore option available. I already have enabled preview features and also installed sql server dacpac so really not sure how to get that button :(
Hi! Can you please help? I'm having an error. It says this: Restore Database: Microsoft.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: The database was backed up on a server running database version 957. That version is incompatible with this server, which supports version 931. Either restore the database on a server that supports the backup, or use a backup that is compatible with this server. Is there a way to fix this or the database itself is outdated? I perfectly followed your instructions. It works on the old 2019 BAK file but not the Adventureworks 2022 which I need :/
Select a database (create a dummy one if necessary) and then select "Manage". You will see the Restore option. Don't worry about different database. It will be corrected once you select the bak file. However, azure sql edge doesn't work for tables with more rows (ie. employee table), it seems. You can only query against small tables. So I am switching to Azure SQL Server.
Hi there, right click is not working for me to manage the database on left hand side bar. can you please mention how I can do that or share me the link of the solution.
I successfully insalled Adventureworks, but when I run a select query, it is not working. Error Msg 10347 Common Language Runtime (CLR) is not enabled on this instance. Please help! Thanks!
go to general setting icon (for me its bottom left), then hit Command Palette and in search bar put Restore. it pulls up same box as in video and it worked for me
In Azure settings you should find "Workbench: Enable Previous features...". Check this box and apply to all profiles. Next in Search line enter: >restore

Could you please advise how to enable CLR integration on Azure data studio in order to solve the problem regarding HumanResources.Employee database with the follwoing error: --Msg 10347, Level 16, State 1, Procedure Employee, Line 1 Common Language Runtime(CLR) is not enabled on this instance. Msg 474, Level 16, State 0, Line 1 Unable to load the computed column definitions for table "HumanResources.Employee".--
I think it's because the Employee table is big. Azure Sql Edge is meant for small device. So you can query small tables but not with a larger table. I am switching to Azure SQL Server.
@@datawithdominic I have the same problem. Common Language Runtime (CLR) is not enabled on this instance. Unable to load the computed column definitions for table "HumanResources.Employee".
If RESTORE button not visible you may go to left bottom and click settings> click Command palette and write manually `restore`

Thank you for the video. Why is the "restore" option missing in Azure when I go to manage the server? There is "new database" in its place
In Azure settings you should find "Workbench: Enable Previous features...". Check this box and apply to all profiles. Next in Search line enter: >restore
any luck? missing the restore options as well. Tried below solution, but that did not work.

I received an error "no such directory" and I copied directly ":/var/opt/mssql/data/". What did I do wrong?
I had the same issue. You have to remove the curly brackets between the ID.

Hi, in the adventureWorks.. i queried for HumanResources.Employee table but i keep getting Msg 10347 about Common Language Runtime(CLR) is not enabled on this instance.. Any way to solve this ?
Same here
I think it's because that is a large table and azure sql edge is for small devices with little resources. I am going to switch to Azure SQL server.
Thanks, it worked
Hiii. Why I don't have the restore option?? Anybody can help me?
