Hey Brad, how diversified do you consider the USA relating to their production and exports?

    Hello
Please do we have any theory on diversification or on revenue generation

hey inelastic means exports are price insensitive so how does that create large price fluctuations, do u mean to say that they are elastic

Primary products tend to be pretty inelastic in the short term. But that means that the supply is what it is.... think crops, good year/bad year. Good year, prices fall. Bad year, they rise, but not enough to make up for the loss of product. Demand tends to be responsive to things other than the day-to-day price. Fashion trends, for instance, affect avocado prices a lot, because they're super trendy right now, and that won't go away in 1 year, but in 10, maybe it's not trendy anymore, so the demand is permanently lower. This happened to Sisal, abaca, etc.

I have the same question! How can I compare the diversification quality or complexity of one country over time?... Did you find something in the literature?
