Tammy, the grater is for nutmeg. You keep the whole nutmeg in the compartment at the top, grate the nutmeg on the grater and tap the gratings out of the bottom.
You might want to keep it and try it. You just have to buy a whole nutmeg. P. S. A little nutmeg is good on meat and in chicken soup/stew. @@vintageuprisingtx
Tammy, I am new to your channel. A crossover from The Old Curiosity Shop/ Two Chaps. You have a very nice variety of items today. I love all the animals.. 😊😊😊
Fly mother made one of those ashtray items in the 80s. It was a pillar candleholder with the candle going in the "vase" paet. Hers was amber. That green would be really pretty at Christmas with poinsettias around it. As always, enjoyed seeing what found.
I think the blue and white butter dish is part of the "Currier and Ives pattern from the 50's. I have a bowl that was my grandmothers and it has that color of blue and swirly design like what's on the end if the butter dish. I like that green ashtray creation for a candle holder. It would be great for Christmas time or St. Pats day.
Your butter dish is a Currier & Ives dishes from A&P grocery stores in the 1950's - 1960's. I had the whole set when I first married in 1965. I loved that set which I saved piece by piece over the years. I loved this pattern of Currier & Ives. You can look them up....they go for about $25 online.
@@vintageuprisingtx No, sadly I don't have the set any longer, my husband died in 1981 and I remarried in 1983,,,new hubby, new dishes. 😊 Good Luck folks~
