I used Ground-type Pokemon against Iono's Electric Pokemon. I started with Donphan's Roll Out at Wattrel who plucked out my Sitrus Berry. Smart. Used my Mudsdale against the other two Electric Pokemon. Lastly, my Terastallized Floragato against Terastallized Mismagius. Really smart of her with that Levitate. But, I did it!

7:38, 29:48 "I don't actually recommend using ground type Pokémon for this gym, as she has got some kind of pretty decent counters" That's the kinda gym leader I like to see (Electric Tera Type + Levitate (no weaknesses) = 👌 = Confuse Ray (prolonging the fight) + Charge Beam (getting stronger over time) ). It could only be "better" (or worse depending on your point of view) if confusion powered up Hex 🤔 8:08 I think both comments apply: because now it's an open-world game, that means it has bigger scale (which is cool), but also means it's gonna be hard to make every place feel unique (because it would be a ton of work). 20:22 Yeah, that was quite unlucky. The total probability of all that happening was 25% (first paralysis) * 4.17% (first crit at stage 0) * 25% (second paralysis) * 4.17% (second crit at stage 0) ≈ 0.01% < 0.02% ≈ 1/4096 (the probability of getting a shiny). Considering that both of those events happened, I'd say the universe is now "balanced" again 😛 Also, here's another etymology trivia: Oinkologne = oink and cologne (lingering aroma is one of its possible abilities) Toedscool = toadstool (it's a fungus) + Tentacool Cyclizar = (motor)cycle + lizard Spidops = spider + spy-ops (it's a stealthy predator) Pawmo = paw + marmot/dynamo Wattrel = watt (a unit of power) + petrel (a kind of seabird) Tadbulb = tadpole + (light) bulb Finizen = fin + citizen Bellibolt = belly + bolt
Iono was the first time I got wiped by a gym leader is legit years. I didn’t realize mismagius had levitate and that set the tone for the rest of the battle. It was over after that. Good to have challenging gym leaders again
@@yourfriendlyneighborhoodsm4708 Same here, the bug gym smacked me the first time because I didn't know what these crystallization were, and in this one she slapped me 4 times already. I love it!
Find a pokemon with own the tempo ability, or can use misty terrain so Mismagius can't confuse you with confuse ray. Mudbray, Fidough, Spoink, Dark Tera type Tadbulb, and Rockruff.
I'm stugling a lot with this gym. Went there with +5 levels or so, and 6 pokémons and I got to cocky Mismagius KOed my whole team 4 times in a row. It's a real challenge, I love it.
To take advantage of Levitate, probably the smartest gym leader in the game, most if not all gym leaders have Pokémon that aren't the right type that they Terastalise!
How to beat? Like a gym leader are so easy. Already in the 1st gym leader I had pokemons 20-28 lvl and in the electric gym I had 35-40 and I destroyed all her pokemons with 2 shots

Pokémon like Pinsir, Axew, and Cranidos have Mold Breaker where you can use moves like Dig to do super effective damage on it.
POV: you got beat by nemona and went to chansey train with a riolu evolved into lucario and the rest u beat easy
did you know if one of your pokemon have fly (the free flying tera type pikachu) you can fly to every pokestop you have been at
I think this is my favourite gym leader this gen.

Try beating that gym with mono water
I like how your face is right over Iona's
Couldn't have her stealing the spotlight
Os it weird that she had same lvl. Pokemon as me but I still swept her team with a Toxtricity?
How do i get to the electric gym?
Ik
I did started with my ground Pokémon
Tysm for helping my Guide where is it
I had to look for a pokemon with own tempo to keep from getting confused.
I can’t even get to it I literally cannot for the life of me get over there
my man defeated this girl with 3 pokemon me over here i needed 6
pokestar studios logo from the gym trainers
Its so weird that she had a voice in the trailers and in game she doesn't it feels soulless
Just bring your gabite and it's done
Swept her with Sillicobra and Lucario
Lol for me this gym was just white I was rather confused managed to do it though 😂
Why does she have a mismagius? I thought she was an electric gym leader?😮☹

This game gives me a brain damage
You should've got a higher level Pokémon because you only have two weak Pokémon and one strong Pokémon
All these stats are not true
