@@aceknuckless you never knew that?! I mean it's blasphemous, but hey y'know. You can also roll joints with tampon paper, if you have a significant other
They're talking about a crash, but honestly... I really don't think there will be one. At least, not one within the foreseeable future. Sure the markets are a bit down right now, but you can't compare that to 2008...
The 2008 crash was sparked by a financial bubble rather than factors outwith market (and individual) control. This has the potential to be so much more significant because, essentially, the same measures of financial exploitation to rectify the upset course of the world economy will be exerted but people will also have a really bad flu and an inability to access healthcare. On top of that the destruction of social safety nets since 2008 hasn't actually been rectified. There's nothing really left to be gutted to tighten the belt. I am not saying it will be worse, but to dismiss this as nothing more than a bump is extremely naive.
@@WateringCan I think its an over reaction to compare it to 2008 or really any other financial crisis since the 80's if you live in most western countries. That was a financial bubble that affected the world, but was primarily due to the US housing crisis. Countries outside the US did not suffer as badly as the US did and could recover a bit faster as they didn't have to deal with the core issues. This crisis really hurts Russia/every other oil based economy (essentially OPEC) and China more than the US since the core issues lay with these countries. It is stupid to say this is not a crash though. The DOW bottomed out at 2/3'rds its total value and is suffering from massive volatility as people attempt to get ahead and sell/buy/sell/buy...you get what I mean. We could still see an even further bottom out, regardless this volatility is not sustainable and the market will level out eventually at a lower value. This is actually a good thing since I believe most companies were heavily overvalued due to the 11 year bull economy and we will see a more reasonable valuation from investors when the market levels out. This will also take out many large inefficient companies and, in my endless optimism that we don't bail them out this time, hopefully open the field up for smaller more efficient businesses to enter the stage (something that we should have let play out in 2008, but that's just me). TL/DR: The US/most diversified (economics wise) western nations are seeing the effects of the ripples of crisis's from other countries (china and oil economies), but are not in the splash zone itself and have a better shot at digging their way out of the hole.
@@squeedles_1943 No problem, I see a lot of doom and gloom or people in denial. I just wanted to present a more reasonable reality of the situation. However these reactions are not unexpected. There is a whole new generation of people who have never had to work in a black swan economy and only experienced the 08 crash as a child, which greatly warps their view on economic recessions. Either they were not directly affected (ie parents did not lose their job) and see them as no big deal, or were greatly affected (parents lost their job) and see it as the end of the world. Not saying this is the case for everyone and there are many more factors at play with how people react to recessions, but it is a factor. Things will be tough for the next 18 months, but the brunt will be experienced by China and Oil nations. Frankly, while it is terrible for the people of said nations, I hope they learn from this and force through a diversified economy through whatever means they can.
Yes, get your information about COVID19 from the WHO and CDC, but don't be upset with other people talking about the disease. People won't have a chance to learn if they are shamed for being occasionally wrong.

helpful tip. if you need toilet paper and theres none in stock, theres no moral shame in using a spare book or hitting up a barnes and noble before stricter quarantines are enforced.
Especially the bible, soft paper. Good enough to roll joints, it's good enough to clean butts
Greendawn21 bruh you can roll joints out of bible paper? thatll save me some trips

They are being compared to the 1980s crash..
@@chasewilson3693 pretty informative and well rounded opinions 🤔🤔🤔 thank you brother
Docket is top tier.
First hour was funny and informative actually
Also tomo definitely dumped that enema poop somewhere sneaky
Masks can help apollo dosent know what hes talking about. Will a mask gurantee you wont get it no of course not but it can help even if its only 5-10% extra protection its worth it for me i got underlying health conditions so im at risk so any extra protection no matter how low is worth it imo.
SOHere StillHere, you need a type-95 respirator which filters air flow and sits tight to the face not a surgical mask
optimism in something china said is kind of sad.
The NLSS is my preferred source for coronavirus news... it's not like we can trust the CDC anymore. :|
Go to Reuters if you want actual news. Streamers are just normal people that can panic and overreact. Trust me on this.
