It can't beat Minecraft in value (price for time played) for a lot of players I think. But these are both games that instead of getting discounted over time, their value is increasing. I bought KSP for 40 bucks and now got the expansions too. In total 70 bucks spent but still worth :D got minecraft for 7 bucks back in the day and it has constant free updates. Kinda hard to compete with the value.
I just bought KSP for 10€ one and a half week ago, since then I’ve already played for 57 hours. I also bought the two dlcs at the same time so I got the game and the two dlcs for 26,89€. It’s probably my best purchase of the year.
I like how so many of us had the same thought..."oh cool we can jump out with parachutes! but can we jump back in?!" It was the first thing I tried with them lol. I just ended up hitting the pod so the chute disappeared and Jeb fell to his death...
Dann wünsche ich dir viel Spaß :D... Really looking forward to this update. I miss the "veteran" free offer by 4 months, but who cares. KSP is one of the best games ever made.
Will be getting the DLC. Im in the shut up and take my money camp. Have enjoyed ksp more than many games i paid twice as much. But because my modded carrer isnt ready ti switch it might take me 6 months b4 i buy it. Hang in there squad! Its only 6 months
yeah fairplay can't wait for this I wonder if the eve mod will be even better with the new physics. I think that's where we will see the difference in the mods 😁
the mod thingy might be an issue wit the new EULA!! Also 15$ for no new planets / moons, no blackholes, no new places to visit, no new science to do, just some stuff that mods allready have and then more or less break the modding by changing the EULA to scare away everybody... I do not am that exited anymore
I used the kerbal parachute to hang glide off the top of the K2 mountain. It took multiple attempts because I kept accidentally flying backwards into the mountainside
There’s actually a place in Australia called Woomerang (I think that’s how it was spelt) that’s actually the largest rocket/missile testing area in the world
amazing addition to this phenomenal game. Last Moon mission simulator was APOLLO18 for the C64 and KSP was found by fluke I bought it immediately cause it was the truest evolution to the spirit of the pioneering days of space exploration for our present day civilization. I often refer to KSP as literally a NASA simulator sandbox as you can literally do everything from Mercury to Apollo as well as build a space station. The satellite network I don't even use as that would just take the realism up to a level where the frustration would outweigh the fun for me. KSP is challenging enough I've not gone beyond Minmus, so far. I have yet to explore the rest of the KERBOL system. I thought of making some sort of interplanetary vehicle that I would construct in Kerbin orbit like the Discovery from 2001 space oddessy where I would use the shuttle program to carry payloads into orbit and construct the vessel there for a longer trip. This however would really take some planning. It would cut down on the fuel expended during a surface launch. So by building this vehicle in kerbin orbit this interplanetary vehicle could essentially be massive as it needed to be involving lander craft to land and perhaps be able to do a full mission in one shot. I would just have to utilize comms arrays to transmit science data back to Kerbin. It would probably take a few years to do it depending on the time I have but I think having a spacecraft built by shuttle payloads would utilize the shuttle program available in KSP as a viable resource. Not to mention the vehicle could be reused and also have the chance to have drilling platforms to extract resources for fuel during the voyage to prevent or minimize the danger of being stranded. I hope the mission planner offers you to choreograph the mission from launch to splashdown with the maneuver nodes already set up so that you could enjoy the experience. I instantly bought it. I honestly think the chatterer mod should be included with KSP as it adds so much immersion to realism because of the pseudo simulated transmissions between the mission vehicle and mission control on Kerbin. Its a small enhancement but one that to me enhances my enjoyment of this brilliant game. Oops excuse me simulation.
Thank you. I was on vacation in Portugal twice and always try to get at least a basic grasp on how things are pronounced. It's a matter of respect to your host country, I believe. Haven't been to Brazil though. Would love to visit it one day.
8:30 did they improve the maneuver node handles too? Specifically the normal and anti-normal handles, or are you using a mod? Because when you pulled on the normal handle (up) your apoapsis didn't change, it only changed your inclination, which is awesome. So annoyed how you constantly have to play with prograde/retrograde and normal/anti-normal every time you want to change inclination and maintain the same altitude. I just found and started using the ManeuverNodeEvolved mod and it saves sooooooooo much time. Just curious if that feature is stock now, or only part of the mission builder thing?
1) Upgraded to 1.4 ASAP! This turned out to be the day I heard about it: yesterday! Very cool. 2) Will definitely buy expansion ASAP! ... I have not tried to re-enter a capsule after parachuting out. But I have jumped multiple Kerbals and rendezvous-ed them in flight. They just clip through eachother's parachutes. Careful! Parachuting Kerbals do have a vaporization velocity: strike the ground at this speed and they will go poof, parachute or not. Kerbals not under direct control of the user seem to be more likely to go poof.
The use of "Woomerang" is interesting... Wiki tells me it's an archaic British usage of the word "Woomera" (as per the launch test site). However, it could also be a portmanteau of "Woomera" and "Boomerang". For non-Aussies, these are both Australian Aboriginal words... A "woomera" is a spear-thrower (provides increased range and power via mechanical assistance) and a "Boomerang" is a curved piece of wood with an aerodynamic profile, used for hunting birds etc. When thrown correctly, it flies in a looping path which returns to the point it was thrown from... i.e. it always comes back. :)

Woomerang Launch Site is based of RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) Woomera Launch Complex, not the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

We finally got a good update. I cant wait to buy this. Now I hope the next DLC/update has actual station modules and planetary base modules that are stock
Well there is a part I haven't shown you yet, the inflatable airlock. Pretty sure you can make some nice stations with that and the new structural panels.
Hey there @Shadow Zone. I started playing 1.4 career just to see what's new, and I found out that you can't collect science from science equipment attached to your ship unless you have an Scientist doing this (I usually play career in 1.3x so I might get this wrong, but as far as i know, in 1.3 you can collect it with a pilot alone.) Can you confirm this? Also, in 1.4, as far as I got now, You can't use parachutes nor new launch sites. Is this a bug or is intended for the DLC only? I haven't unlocked much yet in career mode, but with more than 400 science spent on the tree so far, I can't seem to get any new items here. It might be just me though, or I should pay more attention to the extras added to 1.4. Good job out there. Keep it up!
Gonna update to 1.4 as soon as mods are updated too and can't remember if I bought the game early enough to get the expansion for free but if not shut up and take my €uros
When I made a saturn V the launchpad just exploded before I pressed a button lol but I was in career mode and my kerbal don't respawn but I had a launshescapesystem ready so Jeb is alive
Personal parachutes are amazing but I think they need one small quality of life improvement. Needs a button to deploy it. Right clicking is awkward and can't be done quickly in an emergency.
I think you're computer is just too good if you didn't notice any speed improvements. I've been playing for years where anything more complicated than a small satellite brings the FPS to a crawl (like 2 frames per second, 3-4 real-life seconds per game second). I haven't had a single slow down that I've noticed since the 1.4 update, even when I went to my space station (almost ran into the damn thing, I wasn't used to making the approach at real-time). I was about to quit KSP until I upgraded my computer, but now I don't have to! Ha ha!
I was thinking that the 3-person Voskhod capsule in MH should be removed (it is excessive, since there are already 2 pods of similar shape) and a Soyuz 1.875m capsule should be added instead. Also, those engine plates should be in Stock KSP.
But does this mission builder gives us an ability to create our own contracts that later we can accept/play them in career mode?? I hate stock contracts
i litterally purchased it 2 months after the cuttoff to be considered a "veteran" im going to buy it cause i love the game but kinda sucks i barely missed the deadline
So... How do I check when I bought KSP? I know I bought it before steam, but don't know when... And since I got it before steam it doesn't show up as a steam purchace.

Pretty sure I bought KSP about a month or 2 too late to get the expansion for free. May still consider getting it though, I am wanting to get back into playing KSP.
Man I bought this game for $18 on November 30th 2012. Best investment I've ever made.
It can't beat Minecraft in value (price for time played) for a lot of players I think. But these are both games that instead of getting discounted over time, their value is increasing. I paid $26 back in 2013, was definitely worth it
Aech Modnar I payed 36 pounds (like 45 dollars) in 2018
I just bought KSP for 10€ one and a half week ago, since then I’ve already played for 57 hours. I also bought the two dlcs at the same time so I got the game and the two dlcs for 26,89€. It’s probably my best purchase of the year.

By far, it is the most clear and short enough video to introduce 1.4 and Making Histroy DLC.
15 bucks is HELLA WORTH the hefty amount of content here. Good thing Squad hasn't followed in EA's footsteps.
#respect
Take 2 now. Theyre eula terms turns the game into spyware unless you setup internet firewalls for the ksp.exe
Oh man!! Whatca nightmare that would be if EA bought this game.
Auction they don’t do that you may watch all those video that said sit spyware but it was just miduse

@@robotboycallum7394 what
am still going to use my ~170 mods on 1.3.1
Me too... haven't even scratched the surface with those yet.
Yeah... I have a BDarmory directory with over 175 active mods...
Most mods are compatible with newer versions.
How could you talk about the sound the engines make and not show us how they sound.. jesus dude.
I'll be doing an impromptu livestream today at 8:00pm UTC. Hope you can join me:
ruclips.net/video/5_HF_8gScec/видео.html
I'm gonna switch KSP to Deutsch and count it as my "practice German" homework.
That.... is actually an insanely good idea.. I should've done that back when I had German in school..
I watch English RUclips-videos as my English practice
Dann wünsche ich dir viel Spaß :D... Really looking forward to this update. I miss the "veteran" free offer by 4 months, but who cares. KSP is one of the best games ever made.
Must be nice being a schoolkid in the internetage..

I do the same just for english xD
Will be getting the DLC. Im in the shut up and take my money camp. Have enjoyed ksp more than many games i paid twice as much.
But because my modded carrer isnt ready ti switch it might take me 6 months b4 i buy it.
Hang in there squad! Its only 6 months
I gave the whole "catch your capsule in flight" thing a go... no dice. You hit fairly hard and it pops your chute, and then you fall to your death. XD
Science thanks you for your sacrifice!
yeah fairplay can't wait for this I wonder if the eve mod will be even better with the new physics. I think that's where we will see the difference in the mods 😁
i miss the old 1.25 decoupler and the old orange fuel tank and the mk2-1 capsule
I love the Soviet bubble cockpits so much
shut up, and take my founds!... i mean, money
the mod thingy might be an issue wit the new EULA!!

I have my own take at the EULA thing. Might spend some time talking about it in my upcoming livestream today.
Zigurath100 *mods
I hate how people are like Eula so scary google Facebook and lots of other websites take you data and sell it so ksp isn’t that bad
*I DO NOT AM THAT EXCITED ANYMORE*
Matthew Hoogenboom I do still am that excited. 😜
I think the KSC 2 easter egg (An old version of the KSC) Should be used as a testing ground or something...
If I never upgrade it will still have been worth listening and watching this... :-D
I used the kerbal parachute to hang glide off the top of the K2 mountain. It took multiple attempts because I kept accidentally flying backwards into the mountainside
The new “cut engine” sound is TF2’s Pyro Air-blast.

Português do Brasil. Excellent pronunciation! :-)

ShadowZone no wonder you said it in a sort of portuguese way
I am going to get the dlc, since I have gotten my monies worth out of stock ksp.

I noticed a small change, Kerbals in a pod will have their helmets off, for every pod
Can't wait for this, day one purchase no doubt about it. Top of the list for the first ship I want to build is a Saturn V, what a great big beast.
The "wommerang' site is a play on words from the 'Woomera' rocket launch site in South Australia (Woomera+Boomerang) just say'n!
The name yes, but geographically it is a lot closer to where Baikonur would be (northern hemisphere, very much in the middle of a large land mass).
I'll buy it to support development
#3 The reals kerbal flight without personal parachute. This is the real Kerbal Spirit.
We finally got a good update. I cant wait to buy this. Now I hope the next DLC/update has actual station modules and planetary base modules that are stock

On my PC it run considerably smoother, even while using more mods than before with the older version.
I couldn't get the IVA of the MK1-3 command pod... any ideas? there just isn't one!

the 2.5m big orange tank looks way worse now
Jusonn99 agreed it looks like the orange tanks in some mods and just doesn't look like a real thing in the ksp universe
Jusonn99 The original parts are still there...
Justin Koshy not the texture
The texture is still there you have to go in advance settings

Paracutes are 1.4, maybe youre having a bug, and new launch area is DLC

Ever since I first installed ksp I have always wanted to remake real rockets so with The new parts this dlc bringa I will be more then happy
I’ve had this game since 2015, and I think it’s totally worth the extra $15
Gonna update to 1.4 as soon as mods are updated too and can't remember if I bought the game early enough to get the expansion for free but if not shut up and take my €uros
Hey Shadow! Have you ever considered doing a heavily modded career playthrough? (GPP,ETT,USI,etc...)
its nice that there are new engine sounds, but a shame that you didn't show them in the video
When I made a saturn V the launchpad just exploded before I pressed a button lol but I was in career mode and my kerbal don't respawn but I had a launshescapesystem ready so Jeb is alive
Just a little triggered, purchased 29 May 2013, but I'll buy it anyways, I have almost 300 hours in the game and the expansion seems well worth it.
Haven't most of the mods been in stock?
The switch editor feature was already in the game

I bought KSP May 28 2013... so close, yet so far away...
Hahaha, your Portuguese pronunciation was pretty close!
Love the videos!
this is the best update ever!!!!
But does this mission builder gives us an ability to create our own contracts that later we can accept/play them in career mode?? I hate stock contracts
so jeb still got a parachute?
the alternate suits are based off the earlier american suits not the russian cosmonauts which were orange.
Just bought the DLC. :)
I bought this game May 4th haha 4 days after cutoff!!!!! haha but love it so no worries!
I manager to catch a vehicle with an EVA parachute.
I cant wait to get it i just need help with learning how to orbit mun and land on it
So they got the "latticework interstage separator" in stock eh?
Pls do hot staging with it.
I was hoping Dres would get a moon.
me: hey look, ksp expansion
Wallet: yeeaaaaa no
Just 3 more days!
I NEED IT
