Great rebound game for the Kings. Score was only 2-1, but that's because of Daws' amazing performance for the Devils in net. You could make a highlight reel for him off of this game alone. That's how unbelievable he was. If he keeps that up, I doubt the Devils should be looking for an upgrade in net.
As for the Kings, Arvidsson looked fantastic in his first game of the season. Almost like he was never injured. Although, he was a little rusty, but that's normal. Dubois was also one of the most noticeable players on the ice for the Kings. Drawing 3 penalties and helping to set up the game winner for Byfield, who has been on fire lately for L.A. with 5 points in his last 4 games (3G, 2A). I love that he has become such a factor for this Kings team.
Moving forward, it's all about consistency for the Kings. This was a great hard earned victory, but they have to repeat this performance night in and night out. We can't have a stinker game like Buffalo appear after games like this. They need to get it going sometime, and hopefully this game was the catalyst that gets them out of the slump. For good this time.
    Go Kings Go!

Dubois was amazing! Not 100% but WAY better than before the All-Star break. Anzé popes back up after that rough performance in Buffalo. Scored a nice short handed rebound from kempe’s try. The team looked better. I think the loss to Buffalo had the right effect on the team. I think it motivated them and I’m glad they didn’t slump over, I was worried they would just slump over and be demotivated. Byfield has been great like you said. Been missing arvidsson, he looked good. Doughty hasn’t look amazing lately, hopefully he fixes it, hasn’t been horrible though. I would say there back until they win 3 or 4 more with only room for one loss. Not impossible for this kings team. Everything you said, on point! GKG!

Seeing some really interesting line combinations and rotations now on the Kings. Danault, Moore, Byfield with Clarke and PLD as a PP unit is intriguing. Looking forward to seeing what that becomes.

I’m not a Kings fan, nor a Devils fan. I’m a hockey fan first and foremost and my team is the NY Isles. Your assessment of the game and your writing skills and grammar is perfect! 👍 Great job man!

Great win for the kings. Refs were terrible though. Game was all over the place with penalties. Half of which were softer than charmin. 9 total penalties, plus 2 matching minors, equalling 11 total penalties, and 6 or 7 were all that was needed. Hate when the referees leave their fingerprints all over what could be a great game.

Lots of bad calls, but also nothing when Hughes threw his stick from the bench into live play

I get that Rittich is not a household name but you'd think a professional broadcast team could learn how to pronounce it before the game starts.

Nico Daws shouldn’t be asked to make the saves he made tonight, either way, what a performance he had.

A good win for the Kings, clearly the defensive mindset can work especially with a lot of shots on goal. Hopefully they can find momentum again.

I think Jack Hughes should have been given a two minute for unsportsmanlike conduct, plus a two minute for throwing his broken stick on the ice and and automatic 10-minute misconduct.

I agree, but unfortunately, the referees rarely penalize star players like that when necessary. People pay to watch him play. Silly as it is. Why I like the Kings. A team with some great players, but no definitive superstar. Makes it easy to like them.

Devils should play Meier Hughes Bratt for the first line and use Meiers onetimer threat properly. I believe that line could be as effective as Lightnings first line Stamkos Point Kucherov is.

Had I have known this game was on, I would have put money on Toffolli scoring first for the Devils. Hughes looked annoyed throughout after missing the barn-door, then looking to the ref as if to protest. Nice little tantrum there at the end. Haha! Byfield > Hughes.

But seriously, I have been noticing some extra hustle at times since the coaching change. Still not impressed with passing the puck and then just standing and watching.
That being said, Arvidsson, Danault, and Moore are just plain fun to watch. Looking forward to seeing them continue to make highlight plays.

@@meotjaengi There's a lot of talk that Arvidsson will be the one dealt. So my comment means two things, he's making a case to not get traded...or he's making a case that a good playoff team will want to trade for him and pay the Kings well.
And yes, offensively, they are fun to watch.

So much for the Devils being a so called quote unquote "Hot Team" by their broadcasters on MSG!!! Before this game(meaning after the last game) they said the Devils are getting HOT because they won 2 in a row!!!😱😱 Really!?????? You really think winning 2 in a row qualifies as "getting Hot"??? Well guess we don't have to call them that anymore since they lost last night!! Haha!!😄😄👹👻
