You've got some rare and hard to find ones there. Oud Bouquet has been discontinued-- I bought the last bottle I could find anywhere in the UK and am going easy on it as it's one of those 'impossible-to-dupe' fragrances. It's got a very deep, rich construction and that depth of character is what I love about it. I deeply disliked it first time round but upon second visit, it was love. The Guerlain had a limited run last year and sold out almost as soon as it hit the retail market. I was on a French AND a Belgian waiting list but missed out both times. (Perhaps I should have said my name was Kardashian?) I also get a kick out of how many chic women have the strong personal aesthetics and bold character to wrap themselves in Parfum de Marly's 'Herod'. At first sniff you'd think it was very obviously masculine-leaning and difficult to wear on a day to day basis, but it just has SOMETHING about it that people all over the spectrum connect to. Gorgeous. The other ones I think you may like, if you haven't already tried them, are Gold Myrrh Absolute by Carolina Herrera, Ambre Narguile by Hermes, Harem Rose by Fort & Manle, Late Harvest AND Amber Absolutely both by Fort & Manle, Rose Ishtar by Rania J and Temperantia by Memoize, which is another cosy unisex which nobody talks about. My favourite unexpected love-- which I'm not sure if you like also-- in the spicy-masculine-leaning category is Ivory Route by Xerjoff. That's another one that women LOOOOVE, which is entirely unexpected in most cases as it's so spicy and earthy. It has a juicy sweetness in there too that is glorious. Isn't it funny how some strong masculine-leaning fragrances really work across the board whereas others haven't broken the doors down yet? Anyhow, happy new year JD! Look forward to February's tray!

Thank you for all the recommendations!! I've had my eye on Ivory Route, I've heard really good things about it. I'll have to start working on hunting samples of these. I've been eager to try new things the last few months 🥰

@@jd_lifestyle I look forward to seeing if any of my recommendations pop up in your future review videos (and seeing if YOU introduce me to things I feel compelled to seek out too). I spent the last couple of years accruing a vast quantity of samples and educating myself further, only buying around 10 full bottles; this year will be a veritable bonanza of full bottle purchases (the ones that made my short list over the past couple of years). I've heard that White Suede by Tom Ford is going so I'd better get on that too, lest I continue the trend and miss out on that one too.

I've never heard of Black Phantom on RUclips before. I love dark chocolate! Putting it on my sample list.

I think you'll really enjoy it if you like dark chocolate. The note is done really well in this fragrance!

Hi love your tray fro the month is full of beautiful scents you will be turning heads for sure! Have you tried any navitus fragrances? I can’t really sample them so they are blind buys and wondering your opinions on them? If you like the scent I would recommend Bdk velvet tonka it’s gorgeous and I can’t get enough!

I haven't tried Navitus yet but I want to. I've been trying to reduce the number of perfumes I blind buy and getting samples is tricky. I actually have a sample of Velvet Tonka in my shopping cart with Twisted Lily. I'm excited to try it out, I've heard really good things! 🥰

I just picked up Love by Kilian too when I saw it in store!! Smells delicious it’s my new fave. Did they reformulate? Because I didn’t like it either when I first smelled it, back when it had gone viral.

Some people have mentioned that newer years aren't as strong as the ones from 2019 and before...so it's possible we like it more now that it's not as potent 🤔 I also wasn't a fan of gourmand fragrances for a long time...I didn't start appreciating them until a couple years ago
