I saw this band in Santa Fe New Mexico during this tour and it was literally one of the best shows I ever saw. The whole record was great and they completely rocked live. I still think "Drifting" should have been huge.

I was living in San Francisco when this came out. They were a local band and it became an anthem.

Say what you will but Linda leaves nothing and I mean nothing on the stage when she's done. That's why her shit is real and we feel it. You know that is much of the reason for her voice issues. They say it was pretty common for Janis's vocal cords to actually be bleeding after a show.
Its terrible I was in San Francisco and never heard her! She's just fabulous.

All six of the 4NBs were very talented from what I've seen. It's a shame that Shaunna had issues and so too did Wanda, and it was a terrible tragedy what happened with Wanda.
It must have seemed strange for Dawn and Roger coming in to replace such big talents but they comfortably held their own.
I love pretty much all the 4NB's output, they were a tight yet raw band that wrote, played and sang some amazing songs. I only discovered them after they broke up but I have to say that Christa, Linda, Roger, Dawn, Shaunna and especially Wanda I love you all and thank you.
Very simply put, there isn't a better female voice ever in rock'n'roll
The whole album is amazing, not just this song. Give the whole album a listen, it's killer.

subjectively. Lyrically compositionally... vocally... i think it's brilliant.
i was 6 when it came out...but i still knew the words... the older i got, the more relevant it became to my feelings. It's still relevant to the times. That's what makes it a bit of a classic.
