- Welcome to another update from Elixir's voyage!
This is the second half of our week-long sailing passage from Costa Rica, to Chiapas in Mexico.
Our spell of light winds was finally broken, when a big black cloud floated over the horizon, bringing wind, rain, and a lot of lightning.
It was always going to be risky sailing during hurricane season. We weathered the storm (which later developed into Hurricane Agatha), and made it to Mexico in one piece.
