This video is very true about Aspen. We took a stoner trip to Aspen, no we didn’t have the type
of money to spend thousands on main street with all the luxury shops. We drove hours through the mountains to get there to the area, highly recommend driving if you have the time. The condo cost is not the real cost, as the average cost per meal was about $30-$130 per persons, but we drank and ate like royalty. Also the ski lift per day per person was $150 😞. We did have kitchen to cook in, a few outdoor/indoor heated pools, spas, and even a car that drives your around for FREE. The environment and the views are Beautiful. If you ever plan to go look up Snowmass Village, it’s the village with tons of resorts in it where you stay at that’s aspens main place to stay.
Oh and multiple cannabis shops and the weed is very cheap compared to other stores in the states. 10/10

Lech is definitetly not only suited for intermideate Skiers. Its home to some of the best skiers in the World, both on the slope an of to the backcountry. Plus it is also possible to stay there as a normal person if you book early enough
What about St. Moritz or Zermatt? Theyre way more expensive...

I took ski lessons in Lake Tahoe after learning to stop, and how to keep a wedge I went down the beginner's slope. Ahhhh, nope, skiing was not for me. I went shopping the next day, had several cups of hot cocoa, and though I don’t believe in lady luck I went to the Casino that evening just for the heck of it. I did like the Chalet it was very nice. Good video, thanks for upload.

Can’t agree more my cousin managed a hotel there and I was lucky enough to ski and stay there for free while he showed me the coolest lines I’ve ever been on

The world’s most expensive ski resort, with spectacular accommodations and dining, and the best skiing, is Weigele’s Heli Ski in Blue River, British Columbia, $3000/night which includes the helicopter. When I was there I skied with the Austrian ambassador and his two adult children. The Austrians know skiing, and generally do it, better than anyone. For lift skiing, Zermatt blows away the other resorts. 😅

Snowmass is somewhat affordable for mountain biking in the summer. They allow prices to go down enough for the common folk (middle and upper middle class) to come stay a few days :)
Have been to all of them but I give Zermatt or St Moritz more credit for this title.
I managed to ski everyone of the most expensive resort by staying at a cheap hotel at a few miles away and visit the resort early by driving there, right directly to the bottom of the chairlift if possible. The idea of choosing an expensive in-resort accommodation is a waste of money if you are interested mainly in skiing.

The Aspen area is way overrated. Not good snow, and not great skiing if you are a capable skier. I had a season pass at Aspen Highlands, and was definitely familiar with the resorts. Deer Valley beats Colorado for poshness, and has more serious slopes. And if that isn't enough, you can take a bus to Park City that boasts more advanced skiing. If you really want a challenge, you can take a one hour drive to Snowbird or Alta, where you will face some of the most challenging skiing in the world.

I was a "ski bum" in Vail from 1973 to 1992. It worked really well back then. Simply skiing anymore is too expensive for me now. Stay AWAY from the Aspen area! Skiing is now for the rich.
