    My favorite thing about this film is the dancing, obviously. My second favorite thing is the expression on Larry's face as he watches Laurent dance.

    am i the only one that always watches their videos three times? once to watch it in it's entirety, once to watch Lau's expressions while sitting and dancing, and once to watch Larry's expressions while sitting and dancing. I can't help it!
    P.S, I see Larry's wearing his magic hat again. Swear everytime he wears that thing, he becomes even more amazing!

    Guys, are you actually appreciating Larry's sequence from 0:52? Like, WOW! Actually pay attention to the instrumental and his movements. It's as if he's at one with the music. He doesn't just listen to it, he feels it. Whenever there's a new video I eagerly wait for Larry's turn as he kills it each and every time. That's no disrespect to Laurent as when I first "discovered" these guys, Laurent was my favourite lol. I wouldn't say either twin is "better" as they both have their own unique twist to their styles but it works. Just when Larry does something it's like you have to replay it 20x before you appreciate the craft. Either way, these guys continue to excel all the time!

    Technical precision and raw emotion are hard to envision, but not with Les Twins. You bring the total package each time. Larry and Laurent, I watch videos of you everyday. I love seeing how you express yourself through music. I'm almost fifty-three years old and find myself listening to my old music and rediscovering beats that I never heard before. Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston never sounded better!!!!

    Another piece of art from YAK. I don't know how they come up with unique ideas for every video they produce but they obviously have a genius behind the camera, not just in front of it. Love the ISO effect. So awesome.

    Does anyone else notice Larry's lil "Woahhh" at 2:01 while watching his brother? I've always loved how they have an admiration, a fascination with each other when they dance, in that they pay attention to every single little detail the other does; wondering how when it's their turn they can beat each other... No matter wether you think LT are cool or not, you got to admit thats some pretty epic stuff right there, bitter enemies and best team-mate...

      @hajhirmoshfegh9162 10 лет назад +19

      Vernon Gibson I hate to say it but they actually see it as competition, they have made this clear on countless occasions. They see each other as the only other dancers that they can truly match against and every-time they dance, they dance to beat each other. They have said in interviews before, I would link them but it will take too much time to find them and time-stamp them. It's healthy competition though.

    Laurent is in my opinion, better.
    People shy away from his open-to-all-styles dancing because he has feminine moves and his dancing, compared to Larry's, is more like art. Larry usually does moves to follow the beat, while Laurent creates abstract worlds and objects around him and it's really hard to try to see what he's seeing when he's dancing
    I also noticed that Larry focuses his dancing to look good to the crowd, meaning to whoever is watching from the front. If you compare their dancing looking from the sides or from the back, Laurent looks better because Larry's moves usually look good only from the front and he doesn't move his upper body too much.
    Regardless, both of them are definitely among the best dancers in the world.

    • @SylviaMBemba
      @SylviaMBemba 10 лет назад +12

      "Larry usually does moves to follow the beat, while Laurent creates abstract worlds and objects around him and it's really hard to try to see what he's seeing when he's dancing", absolutely right. Larry is very precise and chirurgical with the beats and Laurent creates an art around the beats. You are so on point there.

    • @aryzswaggermoonwalker9604
      @aryzswaggermoonwalker9604 9 лет назад +2

      +John Smith I can't say it better! but the only thing I'm disagree is in that his dancing is focus on look good for the crowd

    • @themilkysmoove7
      @themilkysmoove7 9 лет назад +10

      +John Smith we can't say which is better than the other when both styles are unique to the person which compliments each other too well. I like how you pointed out the abstract style of Larry opposed to Laurent's easier to follow steps. This is why watching them dance together is so entertaining. Larry embodies more of the female aspect of expression. Female energy is emotional, intuitive, and abstract. So Larry's style is naturally "artsy" and visually creative with the way he moves his body to the music. I remember in an interview Larry was describing how approaches dancing to music, and he said something along the lines of not thinking... allowing the music to determine what moves he does. He explained that this is why he moves like a woman sometimes and makes crazy faces. He doesn't care. Also, Larry's intuition is displayed when Laurent is dancing. You can always see Larry trying to catch his brother's moves and He is usually the one who engages the famous "Twin Effect" because he will often dance with his brother in harmony in order to make a freestyle look like choreography. You guys already know this though. On the other hand Laurent embodies more of the masculine expression when he dances. Male energy is logical, practical, strategic, and detailed oriented. Because of this, Laurent's style is considered more urban and "cool" for the crowd to look at. He looks with his hat down to get into beast mode, similar to when MJ danced, so you can focus on the detail of his moves (which is mostly in his feet because he prides himself on his footwork). When daces he, he strikes hard and fast. When Laurent dances I notice that he tries to emulate every little sound he hears in different parts of his body simultaneously. This his what I personally like about his style. It looks simple at first glance then you catch the little things he does to the music and realize the complexity of his moves. So I personally enjoy watching Laurent a little more than Larry, however, I cannot say one is better than the other. They both bring something unique to the music. Laurent bridges the popular digital dance styles (as I like to call it) with the styles of his and his brother's. I think this why Laurent dances first almost all the time... so ppl can see something a little familiar to get them comfortable before letting the Larry loose on em. lol

      First I was "meh" when I watched Larry. Then I watched again and realized the sickness. He hits every little sound right. Those handspins during basskicks...

      Justabe1020 Ye, you can see that larry wasn't trying as hard as Laurent was, especially from the transition from dancing, larry added no effect he just walked up, sit down and touched his chin and went mmmm when laurent went off 😂😂

    I don't understand the comments below, they both did a great job, but this is one of Larry's best sets. look at how hard he is hitting this beat.

    Yak Films sets the standard for dance videos and just youtube production in general.

    The ending of this video, dimming the light with both of them illuminated by the 2 lamps in front of a desert, symbolizing them bringing light into a dark world. I wonder if it was intentional by YAKfilms or if it's just my interpretation.

      never thought of that or noticed that. might be right 👌

    • @Butterx22
      @Butterx22 8 лет назад +2

      They didn't dim the light. They were dancing in a dark room the entire time. This video was to show how well the 'Sony a7s' could shoot video in very dark lighting. Hence the reason for them showing that little clip at the end.

    When I first saw it, I was thinking "How can Larry just watch and not smle or get hype with Lau's energy?!" But, then I saw how dark the room really was and was like, "Oh, okay. That makes sense." Lol.

    Doesn't matter who is better cause they're at their best as a team. I think what's important is that this was all filmed pretty well in the dark and that takes talent...and a really good camera.
