This presentation was very insightful, especially considering how she took the time to read the minutes of the Congressional debates.

She's wrong in just crediting the intent of the Bill of Rights to the minutes taken during the debates. For example, George Mason is considered the Father of the United States Bill of Rights, which is largely based on his work, the Virginia Bill of Rights. Carol Berkin says there was no mention in the minutes about the rights of individuals to keep and bear arms. Besides the fact that the 2nd Amendment specifically says "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed," there is significant record about George Mason's concern about a standing army during peace time. And, in response to that, he felt the individual citizens should be well armed and trained to use those weapons so that it could rise up in defense of the people's liberty. That included defense from a domestic tyrranical government that may rise up and threaten liberty, and our inalienable rights.

The comment on fishing rights around 46:50 seems a bit misleading. Fishing rights were a major thing for New England at the time.

Much of the work of the Constitutional Convention was mere window dressing to conceal it's real purpose, which was to establish a strong central government with legal authority to provide repayment of loans made to the Americans by British financiers, principally those who were also stockholders of the Bank of England.
The new gov. was also commissioned to insist upon the repayment of mortgages to British lenders , which the post revolution courts notably led by George Wythe, a drafter of the Constitution, and called the father of our legal system, duly demanded from the deptors.
On July 9, 1778, meeting in Philadelphia Congress had approved the Articles of Confederation (written by Alexander Hamilton a member of the chosen tribe) which then became the ruling body of law for the young Nation.
These Articles established the principles of States' Rights, and effectively ruled out the possibility of a strong central gov., a federal power.
When the Constitutional Convention met in Philadelphia on May 27, 1787, its secret agenda was to emasculate the Articles of Confederation, and to authorize the establishment of a strong federal gov..
The delegate who was entrusted with the task of carrying out this secret mission was Edmund Randolph (he was a chosenite).

33:51 Perhaps they didn't mention individual ownership of guns because militias are military forces derived from the citizenry. If the citizens aren't armed, they are not of much use to the state as a military force. Individual ownership is implied.

Militia is an improvised army using armed civilians, for national defense, in 1791. The job of defending the state/nation (security of the state) is the job of the military.
The 2nd Amendment is basically obsolete, since 1795. The Militia Act of 1792 was repealed in 1795 (see last line, revised to read repealed) and basically neutered the 2nd Amendment. They must have felt confident, the military was large enough, they no longer needed a militia.
To fully enjoy the 2nd Amendment, you must also serve in the military to fulfill the "security of the state" (national defense) text.
National guard (part-time military) is the closest thing to a "well-regulated" militia. Or join the military, where you will be issued a firearm.
It is not for purpose of personal use for recreation, for example (hunting or target practice). And again I remind you, you need to join a military to fulfill "security of state" (national defense) text.

How can you be endowed by your Creator with unalienable rights if they are taking about only land or property owners ? I think their have been people trying to misinterpret the true meaning of what our Founders wrote from the beginning ! Just like how it says “We the People “ instead of us the government .

🤔... And clearly they are all being violated and government is not being held accountable for their actions.. pretty sad when we the people are in control. government clearly doesn't understand their duties cuz if they did they wouldn't violate the civil liberties/rights of the people. And we the people need to stand up together and hold government accountable for their actions
