Hi please help, I’m unsure of the last part of the fitment. After I have inserted the red and black wire for the seat belt into the grey connector do I then put both the grey connectors back into the yellow housing and connect the yellow housing back together? Also do I just leave the original red and black wire dangling or put tape on it as it seems a bit dangerous leaving out like that. Thanks
What’s the easiest way to disconnect the 2011 328i convertible negative terminal on battery? Drove Mercedes for years and when I looked in my trunk for the terminal was a little confused.
Could you not code out the seat belt chime using a coding software?. If that is done, Will the airbag sensor still go off if the chime piece is not used and only the emulator ?
I have 93C1 fault in ECU and my airbag lights are turned on, both small lamps and big red one on dashboard where usually clock and temp is... Can this trick fix that? So I get rid of fault from memory, no fault lights on dashboard - BUT - will airbags deploy (both, I don't care) in case of accident? The ding-ding "no seatbelt on" is working properly, when seat is empty, it will not chime, when someone sits in the seat but doesn't buckle up, it will chime until seatbelt is on... So I'm confused since you have to have seatbelt pluggen in to solve your issue but mine is simply - airbags will not deploy probably because of faulty passenger seat occupancy sensor...
I got all the way to the same connector for the seatbelt emulator, except the wire colors are different. There's no red and black on the connector I have, even though it's the same shape and location 🤔
My chime is already coded so there's no sound when not waering a seatbelt, do i need to do the second step? And do i need to code the error out after installing the bypass?
What did you use to code out the chime and warning light for seatbelt? I have an E85 Z4 and was able to use the mat sensor bypass but the seatbelt emulator did not work so now I have to keep the seatbelt plugged in at all times and trying to figure out a way around that
I was cleaning my seat using a spot cleaner and since it got wet my passenger occupancy senor comes one at random times. Can I fix this by drying the seat with a hair drier do you think? Kinda pissed as i was only cleaning it to make it tidy for the warrant of fitness.. :(
I know this was 2 years ago. But for future people with this issue, I wanted to mention that there have been many many many cases that have been solved by just turning on the seat warmers and/or setting a small space heater behind the seat in its most lifted position
Is there really a difference between these emulators if it fits the same chassi? I've got a 2009 320xd E90 and might've been too quick on the shopping finger when I ordered this emulator using your link. I went through the compability list and found out the 320xd wasn't listed there. Will it still fit? Very informative video!
I would argue that this part is part of the safety system and therefore should be replaced by BMW at no cost to the consumer. If the seatbelts failed they would be required, by law, to replace seatbelts. Of all the vehicles that I've own from various makers none of them have had this stupid problem.@@JoseRamirez-wv3pl
Hi In my 2011 E92 occasionally the airbag warning will go off when the passenger seat is empty. Whenever someone sits on the seat the same airbag / seatbelt warning comes on. Will this fix eliminate the airbag light?
So what will happen if my kids sit in the front seat? Are you saying that the airbags will go off when they sit on the seat just cause or ur saying in an accident if i have my 9yr in the front seat that the air bags will go off anyways and that can harm my child?
Hi Jose. What we are saying is the airbags will deploy if you are in an accident regardless of if the seat is occupied or not. Normally the airbags would not deploy if the seat was not occupied, or if occupied by a young child that did not weigh enough to trigger the airbag sensor. The airbags WILL NOT GO OFF if the child is sitting in the seat and you do not get in an accident. If you have any further questions, please email us at customersupport@bmwrepairguide.com and we will explain in more detail.

Followed these instructions, brilliant much easier to undo the seat to get access to the wiring
Thanks, thats very helpful. I bought a kit years ago and didnt know where to start. I think I'll give it a shot.
Just bought this kit and will be installing today, thank you for the easy to follow video
Hey how did it go? Thinking about doing this myself
@@franciscoarevalo4674 it didn't work... I reset SRS and cleared codes as well.. issue remains. Sucks
I tried it too and didn’t work even after clearing codes. Lights still on dash for seatbelt and air bag. Any fixes out thereB
Worked fine🎉.Thanks man😊

Do you need to reassemble the two yellow connectors?
Kit arrived, just installed and is working fine. There are no need clearing codes, thanks!
Cool. I'm waiting for mine to come
bro can you send me link @LetalScorpioN18
@cruzredeyes how did it go?

How did you hide the seat buckle emulator?
Do you have a video for the bmw f30?
after this install is done will the light turn off on its own?
this work for the driver seat also ?
Will this be useful for swapping oem seats out for racing seats? Also would I need to purchase 2 for both seats? Last would this work on a 2013 m3 e92
Hey Adison, sorry for the late reply. This will most definetly be useful for your particular situation, and yes, it will work with an E92.
I got all the way to the same connector for the seatbelt emulator, except the wire colors are different. There's no red and black on the connector I have, even though it's the same shape and location 🤔

what scanner do you use to read and clear codes like this on your car? I am about to install this thing on my M3.
NM i bought the icarsoft CR pro+ scanner and erased codes. Works perfectly.
waste of money. the bypass works very well. lol @@JoseRamirez-wv3pl

Will this also turn the airbag light off?
this happened to me the fuses were loose in the glove box check that for sure
Hi In my 2011 E92 occasionally the airbag warning will go off when the passenger seat is empty. Whenever someone sits on the seat the same airbag / seatbelt warning comes on. Will this fix eliminate the airbag light?
Yes…it’s the same seat occupancy sensor that controls the airbag light.
Please did you try it? Because I wanna know if and how it affects the seat belt extender - this seat belt handing device
Does this disable the seat belt extender arm?
If you will have answer for tis question, please let me know. I also don't understand how it will affect tis extender..
@@jakubmolota6746 yes it stopped my extender from working so I took the wire back out an just covered the seatbelt light with black tape
