Hey friends, I really was so thankful that Tasneem was willing to sit down and have a conversation with me! While we do have differences, we also found a lot of common ground and enjoyment just spending time together. I hope this video plays a small part in your journey of doing life with people who have different experiences and even beliefs than you. We can learn so much from one another, and as a believer in Jesus we also get to invite others into that relationship that Jesus offers everyone. It’s a beautiful gift and journey for many. I’m grateful for this video that’s been in the making since December of last year! 🥰 Excited to read your comments. - Chels
My sister, Muslims believe in Jesus, peace be upon him, and we ask you to follow the message of Jesus by worshiping the Creator without an intermediary and to prostrate to your Creator as Jesus prostrated to his Lord Story of Jesus Birth (Prophet Isa) in Quran by reciter Raad Muhammad Alkurdi ruclips.net/video/d4GWFsON7yo/видео.html
Many Muslims are not normal, they are the Taliban, the Iranian regime and the Hamas group, they are ideological and do not respect the rights of others. It is not at all acceptable that they force women to wear hijab and slavery, they killed Mehsa Amini easily, what a bad treatment they gave to Malala Yousafzai.
Once I heard the quote "Respecting all beliefs shows how confident you’re in your own". When we live in the world of propaganda, it’s nice to see two grown up women talk calmly and listen carefully each other despite faith differences.
I love this conversation. Thanks so much for letting us sit with you & hear the similarities & differences. So much love and kindness flow through both of you!
I love this video and I’m so appreciative of this type of content. So often as Christians we are so set on spreading the gospel that we forget to stop and listen/hear others out amidst it. Thank you for sharing this beautiful conversation Chelsea, bless you both!!
I literally gasped from excitement when i saw this collab! I am subscribed to both channels on their own, this makes me so happy to see as a Muslim Women
I never comment on ANYTHING (especially when the video was posted months ago) but I just feel this need to share my thoughts on the incredible conversation I just watched :) I am not a religious person (nor do I have an interest really in becoming a follower of a certain faith), but I really enjoy learning about different religions and different perspectives on different religions etc. In all honesty I grew up having preconceved ideas of certain religions and denominations due to media I was exposed to and beliefs and viewpoints of family members. Over the past few years I have been learning and soaking up as much information as I can to be able to truly understand the foundations of faith and belief over a broad range of religions and hearing you both speak has filled my heart with a lot of gratitude. I love the message of harmony and peace, and the encouragement of creating dialogue around differing faith. Even though I am from England, a lot of the social issues surrounding faith, especially widespread negative attitudes towards Islam, unfortunately very much exist in British society as well. I am about to start my career as a primary school teacher with a class of 9-10 year olds and I cannot wait to encourage children to speak with pride about their faith and to nurture amongst their peers the respectful conversation and questioning you both demonstrated in this video. Never be afraid to ask questions (as long as they are respectful!). Thank you Chelsea and Tasneem :)
So proud of you both for demonstrating love and understanding towards each other. A great video, and a good example for all people to follow. PS. I'm absolutely consumed by Jesus just as you are Chelsea! As I grow and learn, God shows me new things about himself and myself. There's so much grace He gives us! Your testimony showed that Jesus is working daily in your life!
I am so touched by this collab as someone that loves both creators!!! What a nice surprise and lovely conversation between eloquent and kind women. This was amazing Chelsea!!!
I love that ya'll did this, have been watching Chelsea and Nick for a while, love their sweet nature and was initially drawn to yall by the similarities beween us (me being muslim myself and what we believe), totally agree with you about the modesty of the heart and loved to see this.
really appreciate this video, i am a christian who recently has made a few Muslim friends, i was worried at first about offending them, but asides from alcohol and pork, and hijab if youre a woman; we are far more similar in our ideologies and wishes for the world. i think its important for both Muslims and Christians to understand the Bible or Qua-ran, you dont have to believe it, but were both Abrahamic faiths, so i think we can find moral lessons and similarities between the books and religions, we dont have to be the same, its more about being on the same page, which has been severely lacking in the world for my entire lifetime. i was shocked how normal Muslims were as horrible as that sounds, grew up post 9/11 so there was a lot of Islamophobia at the time, extremism doesnt represent the majority in Islam just like in Christianity, if you live in a place where you can interact and become friends with the other faith, do yourself a favour and do so, the world is so much better when we all build our small bridges together.
My sister Chelsea, the bridge between Islam and Christianity exists, but most Christians do not read history or the Qur’an. For example, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh and the mother of his son Abraham was Christian The grief of the Muslims at the time of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh the defeat of the Roman Empire by the Sasanian Empire in the great battle because they were the People of the Book (Christians) until the good news came from the Creator of the universe in the Qur’an that the Romans would be victorious after years and this is what was achieved and the Muslims rejoiced in that . The story is well known. You can read the interpretation of Surat Al-Rum. The will of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh in Copts (they were Christians) because between us and them there is a lineage and they are people of a covenant, Hajar was from the Copts and she is the mother of Ismail, and the Prophet Muhammad is from the dynasty of Ismail, peace be upon him. Islam is the only religion that shares with the Christians the love of Jesus and the innocence of the Virgin Mary, peace be upon them both The meaning of Islam: It is the worship of the Creator directly without an intermediary, whether it is an idol, a shrine, or a religious man. Muslims prostrate to their Creator as all the prophets, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad prostrated to their Creator. This is what we do simply, and this is our belief. We believe that our Creator is great and that he should not be a human being or have a son, wife, etc.. You can watch Surat Al-Ikhlas, Ayat Al-Kursi, Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah’s poem on the Christian Question and Surat Maryam, or watch Islamic Monotheism by Sheikh Hassan Somali, which explains why we do not believe in the Trinity and we believe that God is one We as Muslims believe that all the prophets were Muslims according to the texts of the Qur’an, and we believe that we follow the message of Jesus and all the prophets, and our belief is one, but the laws differ according to time, so the legislation of the New Testament was different from the Old Testament, etc. We have no secrets in our religion. You can watch the dialogues of Muslim preachers with Christian missionaries six channels I like in Dawah non-Muslims to Islam: DawahIsEasy Channel, DUS Dawah Channel(shamsi), and One Message Foundation Channel (Sheikh Othman bin Al-Farouq) ,The Muslim Lantern( Mohamed Ali), Sheikh Mohammad Tarawneh, I am “THE WARNER” These channels offer Islamic lessons that you can benefit from: DUS Dawah and Green Lane Masjid and Masjid Ribat and Al Madrasatu Al Umariyyah and Masjid Al-Huda Sheffield We have many proofs of the prophecy of Prophet Muhammed pbuh so we are Muslims. Islam came to bring people back to the Islamic monotheism that all the messengers and prophets, peace be upon them, brought Good luck to you
@Aa Mm I’ve only seen david wood and his knowledge on Islam is mostly limited and even false at time , when you want to learn about Islam you go to a Muslim when you want to learn about Christianity you go to a Christian , otherwise your not going to get the correct information
ITS THE SAME GOD just different ways to worship god, if everyone just said "WE all worship the same god, i dont have to worship god the same way you do and you dont have to worship god the same way i do, as long as we show love and thoughtfulness towards eachother we wopnt have a problem" the world would be a lot better. This is were a lot of extremist break down trust and any chance of this become a reality by pushing their religion on others, wether that be via force or unfavorable taxation neither is ok
There is no way you can find common ground as a born again Christian with a Muslim. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and they Life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through me.” Muslims do not believe this, they have a different god and a different way and a different truth. Spiritually there is no common ground.
Hey girl i think maybe the point of the video was missed! We all have common ground with humanity being born in the image of God. The goal of this video was to sit down with someone of a different faith and listen to understand. I am not stating that I believe what we believe is the same because it is not and I know that as a believer. I pray and hope that all come to saving faith in Christ. These convos don’t always happen on camera, but they can be inspired by seeing others sit down and listen to one another. But I’m also compelled by love to engage in convos like these! Hope this makes sense and you understand more of the point! Not all evangelism is preaching and personally being a very relational person this type of dialogue allows us to have the more intentional and deeper stuff.
I’ve been holding onto this for years and I hope this video is the perfect opportunity for me to voice my honest frustration. I am Hindu. My husband (and his entire family) is Christian. In an effort to understand his ancestry and pass on the teachings of Christ to our future children, I started reading the Bible and listening to Christian podcasters a couple of years ago. I have loved reading and listening to scripture and I am still on a journey to understand this beautiful religion. HOWEVER, every time I listen to a Christian podcaster say they’re going about it “the right way” while the rest of us are wrong, I feel frustrated and frankly disappointed. I recently listened to a podcast where the guest said they wondered why “they were born in the right place instead of being born in India where they could have ended up Hindu or China where they could have been born Buddhist” and that made me deeply sad. Just because I believe in something else, does that mean I’m wrong? There are so many religions and faiths in the world. Some even older than Christianity and followed by over billions of people around the world. And the more I hear this narrative of “Jesus is the only way,” the more I’m pushed away from Christianity and just want to give up. Which is sad because I think there is a lot to be learnt from Jesus. I am still a Hindu and will always be. It’s what I associate my best childhood memories with and what I want my kids to grow up with too. Maybe that’s why it’s easier for me to digest the fact that many “gods” or beliefs can coexist. But I hope we can live in a world where we can show each other the beauty of every religion without tearing the other down.
Agree with Chelsea! For people to know the beauty of our savior and what he’s done for us, we first have to invite them and not simply just throw Bible passages at them. Note that Jesus in the Bible simply invited and had conversations with people who were different from him, he only threw scriptures to those who claim they knew the scripture well. We need to be more Christlike and INVITE people in and not chase them away.
On the contrary, as Muslims, we believe that the path of the Lord is with Jesus in his time, and we believe that the path of the Lord is with Moses in his time, and we believe that the path of the Lord is with Muhammad in our time, because the prophets are the messengers of the Creator to guide people. The difference is that Christians misinterpret the Bible. This is what we believe in. For example, we do not say father in the description of the Creator. Because the Creator is great and his venerable qualities are not commensurate with the qualities of the Father. We do not say that the Creator was an infant or the son of a child, etc.. These are attributes that are not befitting of the Creator of the heavens and the Creator of everything. The same thing with the Jews, they say that the Creator wrestles with Jacob, etc.. This is one of the distortions that we do not accept as Muslims. Therefore, the Qur’an was a correction of the distortions found in the Old Testament and the Hadith, and a new legislation commensurate with the era If you read the Ten Commandments, you will find that Muslims are more likely to follow these commandments, that the Lord is one, that we do not worship idols, etc.. Do you find idols in churches or mosques? Was Jesus prostrating to his Creator as Muslims and Jesus' disciples do? Or the disciples of Jesus worshiped Jesus instead of the Lord, etc.. These are things that any Christian can easily distinguish if he used his mind
@@sandysamatanyabalasamaveer9844 I have shared Jesus with Hindus several times. They find it easy to accept Jesus because they already believe in several gods. However, there is only one God. He paid our sin debt by coming to earth in the person of his son Jesus. Christianity is the only religion where we don't have to "do" anything to receive forgiveness for sins because Jesus did it for us. We put our faith or trust in that, and that is how we are saved. God requires a blood sacrifice to cover sin. Jesus bled and died for us then took his own blood to heaven and applied it to the altar in heaven. God's requirement of blood (which he himself provided for us) has been satisfied. According to God's Holy Word, the Bible, there is no other way. He sacrificed himself, how could there be any other way?
