- Time for the final boss.
It is quite a long final boss, as it is seperated into different phases.
The first you need to grab a blue can and rapidly fire at Reflux to drain his shield. After doing so, grab a Red Can and smack him about. All the while you need to dodge the lightning bolts which you are given a tiny duration to dodge, as indicated by the orange circles.
Reflux then shoves the sceptre directly into himself, greatly increasing his size and power. He uses two attacks, a sweeping claw or a fist slam. The claw you can see easily to dodge, and the fist slam is also quite easy to dodge. If the slam catches you, hover over the first claw and then drop (this will dodge the second claw he sweeps with occasionaly).
If you reach the Red Can before or just after the mines blow up and charge your fist while ascending Reflux's arm, you should comfortably take him down in 3 rounds.
The third phase is where you can get the Green Gem, I forgot where it was and how to get back, so I waste about two minutes on it. Oh well....
For the third boss, just use the Super-Helicopter power to ascend, and try not to get too much by his shouts. When you reach the top, grab the Orange Can and aim the rocket either side of Reflux to take this phase out.
Finally... Reflux grows a pair of wings and you're in that flying contraption from the third part of this level. Shoot the shield on his back whilst stopping to shoot the red orbs he fires. Once the shield is down, hit the exposed sceptre and Reflux will spurt out Hoodlums, take out as many of these as you can with your bombs to prevent him from healing too much. After repeating this a few times, Reflux will turn into crystal and shatter. Andre will spurt out and beg for mercy. You should know what to Black Lums by now. Do it and watch the ending.

The dialogue between André and Reflux at the start of this part always entertains me.
I could never beat this... now seeing the ending, I feel like I can let 8 years of frustration go.
Same for me, I retried the section with the shooter about 40 or more times in my childhood and never ever could seem to beast him :/ I even collected all those Mushroomtards to get as much hp as possible "-.-
me too XD it was so hard back then but after watching this it feels like you could beat him within 10 minutes
The one part that frustrated me was the bombing... I think, I tried multiple times and kept on dying and dying until eventually I gave up. And when I came back to play it the playstation suddenly got broken :( so now the console was put away along with the games..
Yeah I remember going absolutely wild about the last boss as a 9 year old...It took me locking myself into my room for the whole day to beat the bastard :D

This was the most epic boss fight in my childhood, until i played super smash bros brawl. This fight will always have a special place in my memories of my childhood
Fun fact for all Reflux-fans: Reflux was voiced by Ziggy Marley, son of Bob Marley! O_o
im not really his fan as he was an evil asshole, but he was probably the coolest entity in rayman... i just don't like his final design that much, it was an epic battle but id did not seem like reflux... he was so horribly disfugured, his furs all burned off, his skins all blistered and festering, and he looks like a burn victim with horrible cancer... he was so intimidating and in a way awe inspiring originally, but now he just looks like a mutilated being. hes completely fucked up!!! its like the dark lums are just using his demonically transfigured body as a breeding ground, such as the throbbing boils on his back. i just think reflux had a lot of potential for rayman, and even though he deserved what he got and it was his own fault, they just seems kind of like they wasted a cool villain... his evil completely ruined his mind and led to his demise as a pile of crystalized body parts...

I never understood what happened to reflux. at first he looks like yeti or primate like being. but after invoking the leptys he is unreckognizable... in the final boss battle he looks horribly disfigured. he looks like his fur has fallen out or been burned in fact he looks like he is a burn victim. and those lesions on him that spawn the dark lums look almost cancerous... hes been not only transformed by the leptys he's been completely consumed by it. he was originally a very cool looking being but know hes a disfigured stricken mutilated creature... he asked for it.. yes by being an evil vengeful psychopath, but he was so cool. its almost sad in away to see him so ravaged by whatever afflictions his invokations caused. I guess that is symbolic of the price of evil... its too bad though he was a great villain and he died because of it... not that he deserved to live but its too bad he could nlot have been re used or something... and I noticed that his howls of agony are the same screams let out bu the ing in Metroid prime 2...

yes i still cant figure out what the knaaren are supposed to be. they look like primates facialy but their skin and body shape look almost insectoid... reflux originally looked almost ape like, but in his demonic form hes horrifically disfigured. his face almost looks fish like or amphibious... hes really fucked up!!!

This game is a part of my childhood
This is the most Epical Final Boss in Rayman series. Unlike other final bosses, that tends to be like in kids shows and much comical, Leptys is more badass and matured. He's appearance makes even comical game with 6+ rating more mature and edgier. I wouldn't be surprised, if developers were inspired by Final Fantasy final bosses.

This boss was so fuckin' hard. The last stage, all of the stages, infact, were very challenging. It's a boss from a passed era.

You know,if you look at Refluxe's back when he was the wings and he's spawning hoodlums,you can see a hole in the back,which is the source of the shining light on his back. Pretty weird,eh?

I have died so many times at that part when he flies.

People might not agree with me, but this boss was hard as shit...
You know,when i was little,usually my father took care of things in video games (of course,now i don't need any help EXCEPT if it's something my father found out.). Although,in the third phase,he ALWAYS lost,same to me. A few years later,I've FINALLY managed to find out how to defeat him. I though: "Hmm,if there are all these propeller powerups,i wonder what is on the highest point?" And then i finally got through it. As a 13 year old now,i know almost everything in Rayman 3.
Well now that ur 21 im guessing u dont need help at all anymore

This was the problem with all bosses in Rayman 3, there is always infinite lums. If you take all lums and then get hit the lums gets back. So theres no challenge. Remake it again and make it harder ubihard! See what i did there... ubisoft..ubiHARD...

I never finished him. As a kid, could never finish the second tier. Got to the third tier, got heavily fucked over. Gave up forever.
Reflax is one of my fafourite bosses ever! you have to defeat him 4 times, and that is something you don't see anymore. The older games are still better
5 times if you add in the first time on the arena,

The shooter phase in this boss is bullshit. Like when he charges at you, and I aim to shoot the scepter, it just doesn’t hit for some reason. It hits the first time no problem, but the other times he charges at you it just seems to miss most of the time, even if I aim right at the scepter. That’s always frustrated me and I can rarely beat this phase because of it

One time, i finished the first phase of the boss and after the cutscene the game glitched causing me to fall through the floor! Crazy right?
