"FRIENDLY" competition. if im broke ill have a bravo, if im doin decent ill have a hillclimber and if im making good money ill have a turbo. "if you cant say something nice" is what alot of guys never listened to mom enough about. awesome day on the mountain all that matters.
That would be correct. This was early in the season and the guy riding the Rx-1 had just torn his knee up so we were staying to the small "whoops." We're lucky if we ever even capture footage while riding.
You get reasonable gas milage with a turbo. When you double the horsepower of a snowmobile it will require quite a bit more fuel. So depending on how you ride it will determine your gas miliage. Once you ride boost, you soon forget about the price of gas, it's the last thing you will think about:)
@07M8rdr Do it all season, every season, weekend in and out and won't own another 2 stroke, just my .02. The turbo Nytro platform is untouchable in my opinion.
Been looking at getting a 2009 Apex MTX 163 found one with under 300 miles for 6k then thought about going turbo, only thing is thats its a 608 pound sled dry weight, where as I could get a 2013 163 RMK 800 for around the same price as going turbo but at 435 pound dry weight. Just can't pick between light weight witch is very in-portent or saying fuck it and going for big HP turbo.
idc what any body says. when given a chance to either ride any of these sleds, or the oppertunity to fuckin own one u would take it four stroke or not. they are fucking bad ASS!

Go ahead, pat yourself on the back! A Turbo Apex is right up there with the best sounding machine on the planet! an P-51, Top fuel dragster, 1000hp 5.9 cummins,a YZ450F at 10000rpm, Two stokes really sound like shit when a Turbo Apex is on the mountain!
excuse me??? i can tell you right now that 90% of how a sled rides and performs is based on the rider... i bet i can outrun you any day on any kind of apex or nytro and you can have any kind of 2 poke that you want...
WOW, attack of people who havent ridden boosted sleds! a m8 on 15# is a lot more then a m7 at say 10 or 12.. and standing the ski's straight up... learn to dial as skid in so the power is being used to go forward not into a wheelie, they look cool but are totally useless as far as using the power. and they are all turbo'd if you cant hear it your artarted, and if you think non turbo'd m sleds would be that close to a t-apex in that snow, well, i feel bad for you.
Again, pick place and time and bring your 2 stroke and we'll see who is getting worked. Quit running your mouth and put your money where your mouth is. Or will you keep talking about how fast you are and not have the nutz to back it up? Ok go ahead and cuss some more.

@SKATELiFE90 the rx-1 and apex are four stroke, dragon and m7 are 2 stroke...
Tripple S Polaris in Utah installed the kit but Steve Packer engineered it. It's an Aero 53 series running around 10 lb.s of boost.
None on the 4-strokes - over 1000 boosted miles and still going strong. Yet another great thing about the 4-strokes.

Garret 2871 Turbo running around 12 lbs. of boost. Stock exhaust is removed and rerouted to exit through the bulk head next to the track.

every 4-stroke sled I have drove has had way more acceleration than any comparable 2-stroke, and I own 2, 2-stroke sleds so I am not biased

Uinta Mountains above Heber City.
Dragon and M7 should be pretty close as far as hp. With a 2860RS Gar running 11.7 lbs. I think the hp number is 230.
