Holy Cow! This is awesome! I would love to convince my dad to do this with out Raptor cuz it looks a lot better! But Awesome Project you guys are doing! LIME GREEN!
Honestly not sure. It’s safe to assume that if you don’t have it, you may need to manually turn it on with an Aux button. But on the gen1, the ventilated seat options is a software button. It may work but you would need to probably do some coding using forescan.
Unrelated comment. Do you think it’s feasible to retrofit a gen 2 center console into a gen 1? I’d have to fab the upfitter switches to overhead which would be fine with me.
Not without a lot of work. Gen one has the amp under the console and it’s much narrower than the gen2. Then you also have to figure out how to run the vent tubing. I looked into it and IMO it was not worth it and way more work than a law enforcement center console
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad thank you! 🙏🏽 I was curious about it. I know you have more equipment that you need to get placed so I get why you didn’t try a gen 2. Gen 1 storage and cup holders suck so bad 🤣
Do you think it would be hard to add a Center seat and somehow relocate shifter? Or even column shifter? Reason I ask is because I currently no longer fit with the whole fam in my gen one and refuse to let her go!
I wanted to switch over to a column shifter myself but I could not find any details on line on how to do it. It would require a lot of parts, new cable, and some programming and I could not find anyone that had done it. Putting in a bench should be easy I would guess. Just relocating the shifter is not
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad got it yeah same result here I would mainly have a little one in the bench seat I was even thinking like a floor shifter location type style idk I’ll probably have to take everything out like you did and go from there thanks!
Nathan, did you ever install a jumper seat? I’ve been wanting to do the same thing but have been most fortunes discourage it. This is the only video I’ve found who’s removed the center console and I’m excited for the possibility.
The shifter will be your challenge here if you go with the center jump seat. Typically the truck with the center seat, have the shifter on the column. I personally wanted the shifter on the column but could not find any info on how to do it. Which is a shame. Technically you could do it and just make a plate to hold the shifter. But your going to be shifting in between you center riders legs. The floor shifter is too big to be mounted anywhere but on the floor.
@Jack Kingsford I bought my raptor a month ago and still plan to swap the center consol to a seat. I'm 90% sure it's possible as the interior is the same as an F150. Watched several internet videos of 150 guys removing the jump seat and switching to center consol and consol shifter. I'm just doing the reverse. I bought a 2018 Gen 2.
Ah yeah, YT always removing the legit posts and keeping the spam posts with links 🤦♂️. Did a quick search and I think I found the tool. Had no clue this thing existed so thank you. Will definitely be adding it to the tool kit
🤣🤣 I doubt it. Truck is loud and offroad runs require early wake ups on weekends. Luckily I’m not the only one on my street with a loud car. Andy neighbor covers the early wake up call during the week.
This is going be interesting to see the finished product. Should definitely go with Lime green to stick with the theme.
🤣🤣 yeah but seats are red. If I do a green console, seats have to change too or it will look off
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad time for new seats then lol jk.

It’s a lot of work but totally worth it in the end
If I have a base raptor and wanted to add new seats that have the cooling option, will it still plug in or do I need to connect to aux?

Thanks for sharing. Hoping to swap a center seat into a gen 1 or 2 raptor so I can fit my family of 6.
Awesome. Made a point to do this video separately because I could not find a good video on how to remove the console

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad how difficult would it be to place a center seat along with the shifter? Could both fit?

Did you all have any issues with start up after disconnecting and connecting everything again?
No. Everything worked fine afterwards.
Great video muy chingon i was hoping the yall replaces it with lime green VERDE LIMON
🤣🤣 still have not picked a color for the console. We may put some green on it
Nice now you talking.
You’ll prob have airbag light on after this since it seems you didn’t unplugged battery , seats do have airbags
No air bag lights. Truck drained the battery with just the doors open and cleared it all 🤷♂️.
Are you by any chance going to sell your old center console?👀
We will once we are done. Currently not done yet as we want to eventually run AC vents to the back
It’s time for you to do a build from the ground up , a full pre runner
🤣🤣 I wish. Can’t afford a build like that let alone the cost to keep it running. Really happy with my Gen1
The cigarette lighter has a tool that makes it a lot easier to remove
Any links you can share? It was a nighmare to remove.
It keeps deleting the link just search for a cigarette lighter removal tool

Everyone wants a center console put in and you took yours off
Lol. We are never happy right
🤷♂️ stock console sucked. We needed an upgrade
