It's all about the comparisons and swapping this head sculpt or that accessory to see if it fits. It's all the stuff actual collectors want to know before buying.
If Hasbro used the paint budget for cell shading to give us washes instead like they did on the 20th anniversary figures, that would be significantly preferable.
The retro body is a perfect body for 90s Spider-Man , but the 60 years body is a per body for a younger Spider-Man , I want to see a ultimate an spectacular Spider-Man in the 60 years body
Likely Black Cat, Vulture, Smythe, The Spot, Chameleon, and any other figure we want and they know and know that we know they know that Hasbro is just going to spike the price for them. Like no one wants the Spot (except me) but it’s going to come with a character we really want.
I want Spot, just not the one with eyes
I think the cel shading on Symbiote Spidey is pretty decent, I was all for skipping this VHS but I think I may like him more than the retro card Symbiote Spidey. Thanks Dan 😭
same thing happened to me, always end up liking things better in hand; even Carnage is nice much more fun to pose then other versions; still would have preferred him on the retro card tho 😅

So glad i got the other black suit and absolute carnage figure. These ones just don't do it for me. Can't wait for that doc ock though. I hope one of the two packs is mj and morbius and the other is the giant spider thing he turns into and maybe shocker with the lines painted 😅
i would love to see a Hydroman and MJ 2 pack next
i think the most likely figures are an accurate paint apps to the animated series shocker and chameleon although possibilities i’d say mysterio with quentin beck head, morbius, black cat, scarlet spider, spider-carnage, punisher, man spider, young vulture, symthe, heck i’d love accurate figures of kingpin, green goblin, landon, and hobgoblin
If they couldn't use the Renew Your Vows bod for Carnage, then I think the Retro Spidey buck with ab crunch and diaphragm articulation, would've been a better choice.
The Cletus Cassidy head is a big improvement.
Well it's a spidey animated week on the channel , cant go wrong 👍 in hand that spidey looks much better so I'm tempted to get him sooner than i was thinking now

I can see one VHS pack being Hobgoblin vs Goblin since it was big plot in the show but at the same time it’s too big of characters so they might separate them. So maybe one of the goblins with a show style MJ 🤔
Green Goblin vs Hobgoblin would be awesome but I'd guess it to be Green Goblin and MJ then I'd like to see Scorpion but then we'd get JJJ with him

I thought I would've chnged my mind if I saw more pictures of this set, but, I still think these figures aren't that good.
retro Black suit spiderman still has a better painted spider, and venompool carnage is still by far the best carnage hasbro has ever released.
And that's another thing, this spiderman doesn't fit with the animated spiderman they released a while back, that's a shame
Carnage is as agile as Spiderman. Why isn't he on the same type of body? The same can be said for Deadpool.

Great pack. I’m a fan of the Amazing Fantasy body and wish they had done cell shaded Symbiote Spider-Man on that body. RYV is good too. I just like more symmetry. I definitely like the look of cell shading. It was popping under your lights. I still think one of the two packs will be Blade v Morbius. I also think MJ will be in the second pack. May be with animated Pete. Guess we’ll see in time. I too want more retro carded figures. While I’m cool with animated Ock and May pack. Ock on retro card would be outstanding!
I hope you are right about a Morbius, Blade 2 pack. That would be exceptional, and soften any disappointment I’d feel if they don’t include an animated Punisher as one of the releases.
Really hopping for a scaleless green goblin that’s more cartoon accurate as well as Hobgoblin with a unmasked head, wouldn’t mind a young vulture and kingpin repaint as well
Love the Black suit Spider-Man only problem with The original one is the diaphragm joint doesn't work because if you move the waist it breaks up the sculpt of the logo. Hard to pose

I think the animated Spider-Man takes the cake for me. The RYV shoulders, biceps, and forearms on the AF15 torso and legs created my absolute mind's eye Spidey mold
I’d buy them instantly if they were reintroduced on the retro cardback plastic bubble.

AF15 body all day. We don't need toe articulation honestly.
I don't need this, thankfully, because I just got my black symbiote-suited Spidey from the retro line, and I have the sculpted Carnage. I would love to have the Cletus head but it's not worth the price and there are SO many awesome expensive figures coming out this year I need to save where I can. The smaller cell shaded Spidey in the original costume better fits my mind's eye of Spiderman, who is smaller than Captain America.
Yall tickle me praising toe articulation, I hate that articulation along with drop hips.
Probably one will be Silvermane and Felicia.
hear me out... animated spider-man on that vhs cyclops body. Animated Peter did not skip the gym... just give him the articulated toes and cut in the neck.

Still on the fence. I would like to have classic carngae but man lack of black paint is really annoying. and with spidey there should be more blue. I don't know I think I have to see more reviews and pictures etc

6:20 why do the thighs on the RYV body look so different from the retro spidey body aren’t they the same sculpt?
Could be the angle.
The retro looks thicker because we aren't looking at his legs from the front, the only different part is the upper thigh that connects the legs to the hips.

Don’t like the cel shading on that Spider-Man. Personally I like the Amazing Fantasy Spidey body a little bit more, but wouldn’t mind if we got another Symbiote Spidey on the RYV buck without that crappy cel-shading

I collect carnage stuff so i got this pack. I really should cancel my order. The body on carnage is trash and looks lazy. The unmasked head is pretty good but ill never display him as cletus. Very disappointed in what im seeing.
They didn't do well with the Carnage...
The cell shading is terrible. That cannot be understated. The cell shading in the show is consistent based on where the light source is hitting character. If Spider-Man is facing away from the moon in the show, he will have cell shading on his upper back. It’s like nobody at the Legends design team has been given this obvious detail. That’s why the cell shading details look terrible, because it doesn’t make sense and they just look like paint globs.
The entire 2 pack looks cheap and just doesn’t make sense at all. Why in the world are the animated spideys on different bucks? Who made that bonehead decision?
Hasbro once again just blowing what should be easy layups.
