Hi, I've recently purchased this 1050 and love it. Would love to see more info on using the hammer handpiece ie speed etc 🙂
Hi, I’am debating between the 1050 and 1040 Foredom micro motor. I need power, speed, precision durability. I don’t think l need two port. I don’t relay understand the use of two settings on 1040. I do sculpting 4 hours a day and use both hard and soft woods. I like details Also. Gilles
They are both good. If you don't need two ports, then the 1040 is great. It comes with a 1/8" collet so you also might want to consider a collet adapter. It has two speed settings:
Setting 1 - Full speed range up to 50,000 RPM. Setting 2 - 500 RPM - 5,000 RPM. Here is the 1040 video to compare. ruclips.net/video/3fcDio8rQuo/видео.html
Hello! How does the torque compare vs foredom lx for the hammer handpiece?
Well first of all they are two very different hammer handpieces and two different motors that power them. The LX motor has 30 oz.-in. of torque at its designated rating of 0.11 horsepower at peak efficiency at 3,742 rpm under load. It runs the H.15 hammer handpiece.
The K.1050 micro motor brushless rotary handpiece is rated at 10 oz.-in torque. Torque is a measure of rotary force we have no measurements of stroke impact for our hammer handpieces. However I feel that the H.MH110 micro motor hammer handpiece has as much if not slightly more power as a hammer handpiece.
What about the gesswien marathon micro motor, how does that compare?
Gesswein purchases from the same manufacturer we do. However, our engineering department inspects these prior to selling. We also give a two-year warranty and do any repairs herein at our Connecticut factory in the USA. We have a great relationship with Gesswein... it is a fantastic company. - Foredom Team
Thank you for this video. I would like to know where this device is manufactured. is it made in china?
As always, Melissa you have such a great way of presenting and explaining things. Thanks too. This machine looks too good to be true. I will no doubt look into it. And thanks.
Algunos de nosotros no hablamos ingles y es interesante nos gustaría oír en español gracias
Hello what about the model k1053 vs k1050 which will be the main differences between them 2 models? Thank you
HI! The main difference is the K.1050 comes with the H.MH-150 (or H.MH-15018) handpiece.
Im a wood carver an having been looking at getting a micro motor for the more detailed pieces, this really does look a good tool. Im based in the UK so I'll have to wait n see if they are available. Thanks for sharing
