Wow, I just saw the video. I am also really pumped about this game. I just learned last week Pax Pamir and play it almost every day since and just want to play it more and more. I am excited about this one, because I love the Renaissance as a period of History, also Alex Serban will teach it through Tabletop Simulator on the weekend. I hope I will be able to back this project. Also I must say I really like how you are changing the graphics on the cards, the map etc. I think you are on the right track! Keep up the good work and I wish you all the best!
Do you need/want a first edition game including all of the add ons? This PAX and Eman, plus all the Bios series, Green and Nea are some of my most favorite. Phil, what can I say, I really like you games. Especially the rules with all of your research and opinion. Packed full of footnotes. I study games. Play them too as will as play along with another, vicariously with a RUclips video. Peace...Guy
You mean us at ION:SMG? Well, we only have a copy that we scraped together from my private copy and Ion's demo copy. But I think you should hold on to yours, it may become quite valuable over time. :)
@@yuginoty65 If you want us to have it we are very happy to receive it. Send an email to iongamedesign.com info-address. Besime is checking this. She will be able to give you the address and work out the details. Thank you so much for offering, we'll thank you in the rules of 2nd ed. if you want. Let Besime know if you want this mention and what name to use :)
Thank you for the preview! Is there any chance of a stretch goal or optional addon for a reprint of the 1st Ed expansion? I'd love to grab a copy along with a copy of Pax Ren 2
If I may, I'd recommend working with Peter Krause from Modern Cardboard (ruclips.net/user/ModernTablegamer ) for a tutorial video as he's already done an excellent one for Pax Porfiriana!
Hello, I think you could fix one thing. Portugal does not match with Toledo. In the Spanish edition the map refers to "Castille and Portugal". That is more accurate.
*Please, provide banker markers of Empire control to be placed instead of the Empire card taken by a player.* Please make the victory conditions clearly visible even for the inactive Victory Cards. This is extremely useful for somebody's first 6-12 games. You may have them printed in large font on the inactive side, on the player card, but please have them easily available. _Please, do not use red for Reformation if you change Islam to Green._ Please, bring back the location map on the cards and, if possible, make the Agents and the One-Shots stand out more. This is useful while the card is in the market. Also, you would not need Map Cards if you used chits for theocracies. They would cover the mediaeval icons or the pre-printed starting theocracy. Finally, please, do not make the metal coins wider than the original plastic ones.
Thank you for these great suggestions. I think I can make you happy to know that: - We plan to have the victory conditions printed on the map as well as in the separate player aid. - The red and green used for Reformation and Islam are following our colorblind friendly plaette that we have developed. Or was there any other reasin for not having them red? - Yes, the location information is intended to be on the cards as I understand it (I am not super involved in development at Ion, my main task is game design). It was just not in this sketch. - There are other changes than the religion that is altered when a map segment's stat is changed. Icons on the card alters showing what standard components go there in case of a trade route. So I believe the card solution is convenient. - I think the plan is to make them similar, but I may be mistaken.NOTE: These are not 100% decided to be produced yet i think. It will depend on the production price. Metal usually require large print runs to be viable. And they are addons = added in the pledge manager after the KS.
Super pumped for the kickstarter. Thank you for the tip off on the Dunnett books as well.
Great to hear :)

Thank you! We will ;)
Thank you for this preview!
Happy you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the insight! Great project!
Just noticed: on the "Frederick III." card, please correct "House of Habsburg" 😉
Thank you! I'll let the designers know :) /Clara
Congratulations, this second edición looks great! The Spanish edition is awesome too

I don't think so, but I'll bring your suggestion to the team.

Mouse pads are wonderful things.
