Star gazing coming soon. Cummins Falls State Park Tennessee has a great show of shooting stars. There’s a five dollar entrance fee. That includes hot dogs, s’mores and campfire.

And yes, the colors were still pretty darned good, especially in the Gale River area - the trees were all yellow, from top to bottom and even in the young sprigs along the ground. There was some snow on the summits of Mt. Washington, Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Adams, as well as in the forest along the Jefferson Notch Road. Had a great time, came home Sunday night and Monday we both tested positive for Covid. Be well, stay safe. 🥾

This was an emotional rollercoaster ride. I was screaming at the video "you should be able to track it and find it!". Then i started clapping and jumping when I heard "we found it!". A couple videos ago I was hoping you would get another drone, now I'm happy again😊
Got a drone a few years ago. Got my license but following the regulations was way too much work. It was basically like flying a real plane. You needed to follow a flight plan etc etc. Need to get a lighter one someday. Great video Maddie!

Hi, just came across your channel. Sorry to hear of the misadventure. I live where you went hiking (go here when I don't feel like going further, I am very familiar, my kids also went here for summer camp). I am also a drone pilot of two DJI drones, and the one you have is basically akin to the older DJI Mavic Mini. It very likely does not have obstacle sensors, and even when consumer drones do, they can have trouble with thin branches, and being too close to water. The drone you have is likely just under 250 grams and does not require registration/test. If you want to fly a larger drone (anything over 250g), you need to register it and take a short, though pretty easy, test. All drone pilots need to check for airspace restrictions (there are some overlapping Beaver Brook, where you were, for Nashua's airport). To fly in restricted airspace, you need to know ceiling height and file a LAANC authorization, which can be done through an app on your phone. If you are very interested in drones and content for financial reasons, you will need to get a Part 107 license (a bit harder than the rec flyer test). Drones are a ton of fun, and when I was learning I crashed mine nearly right away also (replaced through DJI's insurance), but I learned a lot quickly to become a better drone operator. Even now, every outing is different. I personally like flying above treeline for landscape scenery. Hope enjoy the rest of your stay in NH.
All different options for flying drones, especially those of major manufacturers, have learning modules. I have used two different DJI drones for the last 4 years and was glad I took the time to learn a few things, because I ended up losing my original drone over the beach in Sarasota where I was on holiday. I panicked when I could not find the drone, the sun had gone down and the blinking light I saw in the sky was not the drone, as I thought it was. Fortunately I remembered about the "return to home" option, looking at the map on the remote to make sure it reported the correct location for "home." Once I pressed the RTM button, within 5 minutes the drone landed at my feet, thankfully!!
No, the gimbal I have over works for my phone. But thank you for telling me, I notice how shaky it is too, but I didn't know if people that don't watch this 100 times would notice too!

15 hours!! We did it all at once on the way up and over two days on the way down. Both were incredibly hard!!
The fact that it survived is a great ad. I crashed my DJI Mini 2 and had to send it back for repairs.
I have a drone but as of yet not included any footage in my videos. I do have a bit of fear of flying it. You captured some beautiful shots.

Because parking lots aren’t that pretty, Calex! I practiced flying it back in Indiana but sometimes skinny trees with no leaves come out of nowhere
