Good for you on the AM contact. I’ve never had a QSO on AM. Really great sound!
Thanks! I think I have one other AM contact, and that was on 40 meters. It was a short QSO due to splatter from adjacent SSB signals.
The beautiful sound of AM
Love the fidelity of AM compared to SSB.
@Sparkyzilla85Wow so nice to hear 10/11 meters active again on a regular basis since the conditions are getting better and better SSN wise. Last time I remember this was maybe the early 2000s! Congrats on your first 10m contact! Even 29 MHz
Very good. I don't think I've made a 10 Meter AM QSO myself. I've only made a handful on other bands.73 Paul AA1SU
There. Is some really awesome audio on AM 40 and 80meter ham band . I'd love to have a vintage tube radio .But I don't know restoration and upkeep
Same here, that's why I have transitioned from older analog radios to newer digital radios, for the most part.
Nice radios. I have a Alinco DX-R8 like yours with yaesu sp-120 and west mountain clrdsp😊
Nice 👍
What is the portions thos i see 28.3-28.5ssb then it allows all the way to 29mhz for a general. But where does ssb end an am begin?
Great contact, I wonder what mod he made to his 7300 for that great am audio?
Am sounds so much better in my opinion
it actually sound really good, much better than often over modulated CB band. AG6JU
