Yeah, I agree, definitely an impressive change but I thought it would’ve been more earth shattering, he needs to work on his breathing I think , but who knows what he could in a year? but is it me or should that have taken 3 months, maybe 2?!
@@nystery418 Not at all, the improvement is significant but not where it's made up. I would ask yourself how many people actually practice a few hours a day, or build up to it... You have to build up to that kind of practice, but what usually happens is people quit after a year after singing too high for their rang. Listen to the vocal coaches with experience and you will get so much better!
tbh, that thing has a lot of factor. The student, we know how Adam teach, and the disciplined. I have little bit better vocal transformation just by one week. Before i learn to sing a song, usually i just do like Ow Ow Ow Ow with different notes from low note to maximum of my range vocal. Maybe just 10 min, then i let my vocal rest for 10 min. I think what he means is the tension in his voice like pretty much the “no confidence voice” but the voice is still there just gotta loosen up & let your body do it’s thing without thinking too much about it, at least that’s my speculation on the comment lol
Nah… when the chords haven’t been properly worked out that’s how it sounds. It’s like if you stop singing for a few years then try to start back. This is how most would sound, it’s strained… but a few months of work is all it takes…
imagine afters years! that's when it "really" kicks in:) *depends on the individual*. I've been singing for 4 years now without a teacher. And I must say, getting one might actually make me improve even more.
No Tim you may not actually have to get a vocal coach. I worked inside of a factory for 3 years on midnights and the factory was so loud that someone who was standing more than 20 ft away from you could not hear you if you were yelling at the top of your lungs. As you can imagine everyone either wore headphones or ear plugs. So I was free to sing as loudly as I wanted to. Before working there I was told that my singing was atrocious and now I've had dozens of people tell me that I'm really good. You don't need a singing coach you need to sing songs that are out of your range loudly. Need to fully sing. As loudly as possible. And just that done constant on music out of your range will increase it.
@@IBoofRanchDressing this may have worked for you but this terrible advice in general. This would lead the general population to tons of strain and damaged vocal cords. DISCLAIMER: this advice will lead most people to vocal cord damage.
@@IBoofRanchDressing that’s why I said “might” :) The problem with not having a vocal coach, is that you might pick up “bad habits” (improper technique, poor vocal control) that can damage your voice over time:) As I said I’ve been singing for 4 years(on and off) so whenever I want to learn to sing a new song, i have to rehearse it for several days before I think it sounds good. But everything comes with practice!
Self-teaching is a lot of trials and errors. You risk hurting/damaging your voice and never getting out of imitation zone and finding your own style(s)/potential, but if you don't, the results could be surprising in a good way. Some songs get easier to sing the more you practice -- it could be that simple. The genre you don't really need proper lessons for is rock/punk (but it'd be wiser and safer if you do take lessons in general so you don't get vocal damage).
A lot of the improvement sounds more from confidence than anything. I noticed both from playing guitar and singing, that sometimes just going for it will create a massive change.

Dang, thats cool that MKBHD started taking voice lessons!
i really like kpop and i kinda of want to be an idol, but i can't sing neither dance, i feel like im useless in everything i've already tried to sing but never had lessons, i wish i could sing, but im too shy and that doesnt allow me to, i start to shake when i do it, i can't open my voice. every moment i try to hear my voice it makes me cry when i realise how bad i am and im trying not to give up. but congrats to him! he did so good in only 3 months!!
"OOOOOH, I'm blinded by the LiIiIiIghts"
"Yiah!"
3 months ! Imagine 3 years
The question is, is Cole getting lessons every day, or only once a week? That be a huge factor in his change!
I didn't know you can actually learn this!!!
“I identified his problem, it was his coach.”
I actually improved myself listening to him. 🤣
