@@FA-hb3hf I'll say you wrote a lot to unpack there but let me address some of your points. 1. Whenever you are listening to someone else even if its in your native language, you are interpreting their speech. There is no escaping this. If you are going to say that we can't trust the Bible because its been interpreted into a different language than you have to say that we can't trust anything that has ever been written or spoken because it will be subject to interpretation. 2. Context is always key and if you read on in John 17 you will see that Jesus does equate Himself with God by stating that He shared glory with Him before the world existed. Phillipians 2:5-11 explains this concept as while He was God, He did not consider it a thing to be grasped. 3. In Mark 13:32 it is important to remember that Jesus was God incarnate meaning that while He was God, He was also confined to his human flesh and was limited by His humanity. So while He was on earth this knowledge was hidden from Him. 4. In regards to your points on the differing accounts in the gospels, this is actually support for their authenticity, not their inaccuracy. Just as a quick example, if you were a detective investigating a crime scene and you were to interview the eye witenesses, you would not want them to all report that they saw the exact same thing as any defense attorney would easily just say to the jury that they colluded on their stories! In an ideal scenario you would want the eyewitnesses to agree on the main points but differ in the details as every person has a distinct view of an event that is unique to them. Just because one gospel says that Jesus got his feet washed before his crucifixtion with no meal and the other doesn't mean the events never happened. John as an indivdual might have thought that the washing of the feet was more important than the supper and vice versa for the other authors. 5. A good resource on all of your questions would be J Warner Wallace's book cold case christianity. As for myself, I have compiled why I believe Christianity here: www.docdroid.net/iKawnos/140-datapoints-for-christianity-docx

This man seems to forget Jesus came back 3 days after his death….the Thursday becomes a Sunday. This is not an obvious error, but rather fitting to the story.
Jesus never rose from the dead. He got killed by the Romans. He was a rabbi revolutionary and his apostles spread across Europe and Asia spreading his version of Judaism and revolution. Hence why Nero blamed them for the fire. Eventually Christians gained in number because they did free funerals and had food and wine on weekends. It was seen as a goofy funeral and singing club by Roman’s. Obviously they changed and came up with the myth of Jesus and combined his story with other legends and myths. They also stopped the revolution talk because they didn’t want to get executed.
Jesus was actually talking about quantum physics, manifestation and alchemy. Teaching people that this world isn't real and how to see beyond the veil. also when I was 15 I didn't believe any religion, it wasn't until I had deeper spiritual experiences that I finally understood Jesus.
@@TheLionKing999 yes plenty of places. look up hermeticism also gospel of Thomas( an un-altered account of Jesus and his teachings) . I was thinking of doing some videos on this and how to actually apply it..... should I?
Jesus said to Thomas touch me and see that I'm real. Jesus never said this world isn't real nor taught anything of the sort. New heaven and new earth He promised. He taught that man is wicked and needs to pay for their sins, hence he is the payment on their behalf. Be fair to the whole bible and don't cherry pick. Look at what Jesus claims throughout the whole bible. His blood was very real and the pain He felt when they struck Him, set a crown of thorns on His head and pierced His feet and hands were very real. He never said to look beyond the veil but He did teach us to see that life is far more than clothing and food, that the only important thing is receiving Him as the Son of God and to believe in Him. Are you believing in His death, burial, and resurrection for your sins? If not you have not understood Christ nor His sacrifice or blood for atonement. PBD needs to have a true biblical Christian in his podcast!! The problem is that unfortunately he’s believing what “other man” told him about Jesus. I doubt he has read, study, research the Gospels. It’s sad he talks about The Bible with no context.
The concept of the Trinity emerged 300 something years after Jesus' death. The original practitioners of Christianity believed in one God and Jesus as his messenger. This interpretation was changed centuries later and then enforced by the Romans. There are still Unitarian Christians out there but Trinitarians are the majority. Listen to Dr. Bart Ehrman on this topic. The historical facts are that Jesus never claimed to be God. Trinitarians have been duped, sorry to say.
Doctrines didn’t get ironed out immediately after Christ died and resurrected. They got ironed out as church history went on. The Trinity being firmly established in the 300s doesn’t make it any less biblically true. Listen to Anthony Rogers on this topic. He mops the floors with Unitarians. They don’t have a leg to stand on (pun intended).
@@sarahd5341 Genuine question: How can you trust the final version of Christianity if it was solidified 3 centuries after the death of Christ? Most Christian scholars agree that the Bible has been changed from its original form. Doesn't it make more sense that Jesus was a prophet, preaching to worship God. And then centuries later, his message was distorted and he was fashioned as divine? I will check out Anthony Rogers.
This poor guy has never had an encounter where he experienced the power of the holy spirit but the most sad thing is that it is majority of everyday Christians I talk too also because there's no strive for holiness and no late-night's crying out in prayer and no self sacrifice for others they just go to a book club every Sunday where there's a time limit on the sermon and worship where the HOLY SPIRIT has no room to move so the next group of people can come in the building it's more like a factory farm instead of a meeting place with christ
Bro he was a fundamentalist evangelical that dedicated his life to studying the history and scripture at elite catholic and Christian universities. You don’t feel the Holy Spirit and you never have. Because you can’t
For such an intellect, this is such a conflation of words and ideas. I would like to see him debate or this conversation with theologians, would be interesting.
I don't want to say he's lying, but he's lying. I checked Luke 2:1-7 it does mention that there was a registration, but they didn't have to go back to the land of their forefathers BUT to their "own town." THAT makes perfect sense. Just like in our time they want to know how many people live in a particular place not how many people might be in a particular place at a particular time for some particular reason i.e. tourism. I'm not a Biblical scholar, I can just read.
It matters which version you read. NT was written in Greek and the most accurate versions are in biblical Greek. In all the big archives and libraries at various prestigious religious higher education universities…in the older gospel books which were written by hand by scribes…no two books are the same, each book has a multiple of differences and some major ones. Luke states they went to Nazareth because that was Mary’s hometown and Joseph and Mary lived there together….then they went yo Bethlehem because Joseph is a descendant of David and that is were the house/family of David is.
So funny and sad at the same time when someone start talking about other’s beliefs in depth as if they know better than the believers, but he doesn’t believe the same beliefs. Only born again Christians can understand the bible, and yes Christianity is a foolish religion in world’s view, if not, they would not crucify Jesus. This man is a perfect example on how the world should view Jesus Christ and born again Christians. If Jesus was crucified, all Christians should expect the same treatment, either literally or metaphorically.
Great comment, I totally agree this guy is clear to think his beliefs are the end all be all in this conversation and in the other ones he’s had on this podcast. He said since Jesus’s nickname was Jesus the Nazarene that there is no way he was born in Bethlehem makes no sense and is a clear example of him taking something and twisting it. Also talking about the day mix ups.. regardless of if that is true or not that’s such a small detail once again to try to derail people off the importance of the heart of Gods message.

No, Jesus the man and Jesus God are the same person. What you think Jesus the man said is true, but what Jesus God said is also true. Jesus still cares about this physical world and all its inhabitants, despite the fact that there is existence outside of this physical realm. He did not come here to judge or condemn us, he came to sacrifice himself in order for us to have entrance to the kingdom of Heaven.
What Reza is saying about Gospels being metaphorical, not literal, is not the case for Muslims. Jesus was a revolutionalist who challenged the status quo by advocating for radical ideas of love, compassion, and equality that challenged established religious and societal norms of his time. He preached a message of inclusivity, reaching out to the marginalized and oppressed, regardless of social status or background. His teachings emphasized forgiveness, turning the other cheek, and caring for the poor and downtrodden. Jesus confronted religious hypocrisy and criticized the oppressive systems of his time, promoting a vision of a kingdom where the last would be first and the powerful would serve. His actions and words sparked a movement that transcended societal boundaries and continues to inspire change today.

Reza specifically said that belief in Christianity specifically is the wrong mindset, he doesn't belive in Islam either, he believes in god, the title of this video is misleading
Notice when he begins to try to lie about contradictions around 6:20 His voice is trembling/quivering , probably because he’s aware there are rational reasons that there aren’t any contradictions
The Bible's contradictions come from the fact that we don't have the original version and much of it was written by humans who often make mistakes. It's as simple as that. Also Jesus never claims to be God's incarnation nor does he claim to have died for everyone's sins. The claim only starts centuries later by followers of Paul.
Smh, the mistakes or errors he mentioned are not errors. How myopic can he be to say historical events narrated by different individuals is the reason for the error in the Bible. When the compilation is being done, they could have adjusted those to suit themselves but they didn't just to ensure they maintain the account is accurate as given or narrated by the original writer or author. Do you see your error, my friend? The very errors he mentioned are the reasons why the Bible is true, and original. Not manipulated, not added to.
I love how left wing intellectuals will point to poor priests as an excuse as to why the church is a farce but then also believe exactly what the same exact poor priests say at their word. It’s sheer hypocrisy.

Because he hit the nail on the head. With so many flavors in Christianity, be it orthodox, Armenian, Lutheran, Catholic, Cogic, Baptist, you name it, at the end of the day it’s all nonsense.
But everyone thinks they are right and has the truth.
Bible jesus as described in those pages of the collection of books is pure unmistakable mythology. The one born of an 12yr old, walked on water, fed thousands with 2 fish and was dead but days later rose again, yeah that guy is fake as hell.
But with religion and superstitions etched in your brains, some from birth, later influenced by culture/close relatives, your brain has made it real and to you, you think it’s real. But in reality, the real world, it’s not and is pure nonsense. But for those that need it emotional or socially, I understand.
Why can’t there ever be someone on any of these shows that has a real understanding of who Jesus is and what his message was
Trinity is a mystery. If you think you understand it you missunderstand it- Bart Ehrman

A game developer can develop a game then insert themselves into that game as an avatar, who is then controlled through a wireless controller/receiver. Why can't God do such things with life itself, or even better himself? Let me repeat that first part with some hints:
A game developer (The creator aka the Father of his creation) can develop a game (Creation = Life and the universe it inhabits) then insert themselves into that game (beget) as an avatar (Son) who is then controlled through a wireless controller/receiver (Spirit).
We are made in the image of God, hence why we can create and inhabit our own worlds, on a much smaller degree.
@@hellooutsiders6865 Nobody can explain trinity without falling into heresy. An avatar inserted into a game by game developer is not the game developer himself. God is uncreated. So we worship God who creates and sent Jesus and obey the message revealed by God through Jesus. God is one and Jesus is not that one God.

" For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God, For it is written: " I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate". 1 Corinthians 1: 18-19
Lol the contradictions he talks about are taken out of context and he mischaracterizes each of them
But there are contradictions and many Christian scholars agree🤔

Any Christian who knows the bible and has his/her beliefs reasonably worked out knows that this guy has no meaningful arguments against Christianity.
Jesus was actually talking about quantum physics, manifestation and alchemy. Teaching people that this world isn't real and how to see beyond the veil. also when I was 15 I didn't believe any religion, it wasn't until I had deeper spiritual experiences that I finally understood Jesus.
Do you know anywhere on RUclips I can learn more of the alchemy he is talking about?

You have not known nor have been fair when he told Peter, get thee behind me Satan, shall i not drink the cup my Father gives me? The concept of the Trinity emerged 300 something years after Jesus' death. The original practitioners of Christianity believed in one God and Jesus as his messenger. This interpretation was changed centuries later and then enforced by the Romans. There are still Unitarian Christians out there but Trinitarians are the majority. Listen to Dr. Bart Ehrman on this topic. The historical facts are that Jesus never claimed to be God. Trinitarians have been duped, sorry to say.
ruclips.net/video/6JU9J0XVlzQ/видео.html
Doctrines didn’t get ironed out immediately after Christ died and resurrected. They got ironed out as church history went on. The Trinity being firmly established in the 300s doesn’t make it any less biblically true.
Listen to Anthony Rogers on this topic. He mops the floors with Unitarians. They don’t have a leg to stand on (pun intended).

@@sarahd5341 Genuine question: How can you trust the final version of Christianity if it was solidified 3 centuries after the death of Christ? And then centuries later, his message was distorted and he was fashioned as divine? I will check out Anthony Rogers.

Jesus was a revolutionalist who challenged the status quo by advocating for radical ideas of love, compassion, and equality that challenged established religious and societal norms of his time. He preached a message of inclusivity, reaching out to the marginalized and oppressed, regardless of social status or background. Jesus confronted religious hypocrisy and criticized the oppressive systems of his time, promoting a vision of a kingdom where the last would be first and the powerful would serve. His actions and words sparked a movement that transcended societal boundaries and continues to inspire change today.
