Maybe a couple of years ago he could have got a better trainer and made some improvements but at nearly 39 it's too late for that.

PBC had to hype in order to make their stable look good. Wilder don't punch that hard. He uses the surprise element that shock the nervous system. Like if you know you are getting hit, its more likely you are gonna recover quickly from the hit than when you r not aware. Now we know that Fury has no chin. And now we know Fury can't punch. Usyk ate more clean punches than Wilder did with Fury. Fury will not stand up if AJ catches him. Its would be another Ngannou night.

If you can't see wilders shot I can't take ur opinion serious.
Fighters get shot at different times in all combat sports, comparing zhang's age is ridiculous.
This doesn't prove you are right about everything. Why did you pick Wilder to win so much over the years ? The present wilder can't beat nobody. You picked Wilder to beat zhang for gods sake because you didn't realise his shot to pieces, I picked zhang with no doubt.
This present wilder isn't the man I supported for 10yrs never missed one fight.

  • @theman5614

I think if Wilder wants that big payday and get back in the mix then he needs to build his confidence and rhythm back up up and quickly since he isn't young anymore, not for this sport anyway and is quickly going to be considered old if not already (personally I say he is since this sport is not nice to age at all).
I think what he needs is to do like 4-5 fights a year, in this circumstance it's ok to have like 2 cans to boost his confidence. A third is a step up opponent then finally move back to dangerous opponents in his fourth fight or so. Lets not forget, all it took was a win against Robert and he was back in the mix already at least for hype and talking point.
The easiest way to be back in the mix as a fast track of course is as stated by sporting icons, go for manuel Charr. It's an easy win and will make him a world champion again. Speaking of which, why on earth is Manuel Charr doing what he did and remaining as champ again? He hasn't had a fight since 2022, so how can they let him keep that belt like he did in the past where he sat on it for like 3-4 years? Anyways probably best option for Deontay. Nice easy win.
Other options is Jarrel Miller as it would be an American boxer vs American boxer, both of them having a well known profile there.
Charles Martin is another easy option just so he can say he can beat a champion level fighter (Martin despite being probably the worse/weakest champ before he was still IBF champ for a short period).
I doubt Deontay would fight Agit. Agit seems too dangerous for him in his mind since Agit beat both Frank Sanchez and Arslan and I don't think Deontay wants to fight either of those two.

Wilder is one of the biggest punchers of all time, journeymen don’t necessarily mean chinny, many big punchers have gone the distance with journeymen but Wilder hasn’t. If you put Wilder in the ring with a stationary target he’d KO them quicker than anyone, he’ll struggle to knockout higher quality opposition by that’s because he lacks skill, but power he’s unrivaled

I say one more run, there’s no shame losing against top 5 fighters like Parker and Zhang, he needs to do what AJ did and fight some lower level people to get some mojo back. Just because he was losing all the rounds in Zhang and Parker doesn’t mean he couldn’t win, as you say he usually loses most rounds but equalises with a KO. He almost beat Fury in the first and third one too in the sense that there was a close KO in both fights so there’s that too

Wilder isnt even objectively "The biggest puncher in Heavyweight history." Legendary Punchers usually have Legendary Victories what was Wilders? Joe Louis had KOs on Primo Carnera (who himself had 71 KOs and is the KO leader in boxing), Tony Galento and James J Braddick (legendary fighters themselves). George Foreman had a KO over olympic gold medalist Joe Frazier and many many years later KOs Micheal Moore. Heck even Mike Tyson beat and KOd Larry Holmes the same Holmes who was never KOd prior. Tyson who beat Mike the Jinx Spinks who went 30 rounds with Larry Holmes and couldnt last a minute with Mike Tyson? This why they are remembered because of WHO they fought and WHO they beat. Who has Wilder beat that is of any note?

SportingIcons, 2 things can be true at once, yh Wilder has stepped up in opposition but he definitely has deteriorated, fighters don’t take the same beatings that Wilder took from Fury back to back and remain the same fighter afterwards, it had never been done before, you yourself had stated in multiple videos after the trilogy fight that wilder won’t be the same again but now that he’s lost to Parker who Aj beat you’ve back pedaled and said he’s the same
And your logic to discredit Wilders win against Ortiz can discredit every other fighters resume. If a fighters worth is purely determined by who they beat, and the worth of the fighters that they’ve beaten are determined by the wins on those guys resume then no one would have beaten any body, as the resumes would always eventually lead to fighters that beat nothing but journeymen and bums
