Avast has very poor default real time protection but on the other hand one of the best rootkit and boot-mode protection imo. My older pc got infected by rootkits and the attacker somehow managed to disable my windows defender and launched wave of malware installation. He remained stealthy while doing so and secretly gained access to my private information. It was tough to deal with. The dude was from russia and got detected when he tried to spam my instagram with following some spam accounts. Finally I used malwarebyte to deal with malwares. Bitdefender really helped me too. avast really helped me to remove the actual rootkits that were hidden deep inside my system . None of them were less important than others and I used their free trial , Ig that's why I had to work 3x more to get rid of everything.

Why do you use Avast? It is just terrible... If you go check forums about malware disinfection, a lot of users have their PCs infected and they are using the last version either Avast or AVG. In my opinion, they are so popular, but not efficient and they aren´t good security products
@@gmn6557 thats a very corrupted claim, avast has been tested against many threats which includes wannacry,jigsaw,cryptolocker,etc. avast passed the typically used test that involves running dozens of samples at one time. you want to know which AV isnt good? windows defender, and malwarebytes. there was a threat that was able to disable defender before launching payloads. malwarebytes lacks the ability to fight multiplying viruses that spread too fast. I personally don't currently use anything other than defender at the moment because I use common sense and scan all links with virus total before downloading. but I want to get better protection one day and avast is my current choice should the day come.
the things in avast free edition like virus scans , real time protection and all , are also there in the full edition so you can just use the free one like a pro version. cool right?

your desktop get burned probably because this payloads make a mini "stress" test and disable the security to the PC dont shutdown auto. That make the PC so hot, and will start burn.
I stopped using Avast since 2013, when I got a trojan and avast said "nope your computer is fine, you may want to look at your performance tho". Like bruh. And I stopped using Avast since then, I used Kaspersky for a while until I learnt how to avoid or recognize threats myself.
Avast is good against malware and ransomware but i dont think it can handle a trojan it kinda picked up the fact that there might be something bad in it which for me seems very interesting
Gotta love how these "trojans" can panatrate Avast's protection by not having any malicious content other than rewriting the mbr... Oh come on, a normal malware does far worse things than this demoscene.
