*Mohammad was a messenger without a message.*
All the Prophets beginning from Abraham and ending with John the Baptist were sent to Prepare, establish, and fulfill only one prophecy. And that prophecy was the coming of the Messiah Jesus Christ the Savior of the world. John was called the greatest because he was the prophet who ushered in the Messiah. There was no other Prophet to come after John because it was finished. The law and the Prophets were completed. Anyone who came after claiming prophethood was to be declared a false prophet according to Jesus. Anyone who came denying the divinity of Christ was declared to be the anti-Christ.
So Mohammadan be careful whom you choose as your God and Savior. Willful ignorance will not be an excuse on Judgement Day. And being born into an untested religion is not a passport to heaven.

Mohd Ali explains it simply; we all have free will. To do good or bad. That is our choice. Allah is All-Knowing, He knows everything. Past, present and future. Whatever you choose, Allah already knows what you’ve chosen.
We are here to be tested, and along the way we make right decisions at times, wrong decisions at times…and the tests continue for the betterment or otherwise are from our choices. So it is predestined that tests will come forth always, and trials, tribulations, rewards and grace. That’s my understanding.
    Allah knows best.

Assalaamu alaikum. Please take this advice in the right way. Islam is based upon proofs and evidences from The Qur'an, The Sunnah and the understanding of the Righteous Predecessors. Do not take proofs and evidences from anyone other than the 3 sources listed. You must provide proofs and evidences from the 3 sources if we are talking about the Deen rather than going by a daee's explanations.
By the way, the explanation of Qadr provided in your original comment is incomplete. There are 4 matters of Qadr:
      1. ALLAH's Knowledge (Al-Qur'an 22:70).
      2. Pre-Recording: (Al-Qur'an 22:70).
      3. Creation: (Al-Qur'an 54:49).
      4. ALLAH's Will (Al-Qur'an 76:30)
      Jazakallahu khair.

Allah knowledge is the key. His knowledge doesn’t force us to do anything without our free will.
If it was not in the knowledge of God what we are going to do then God ceases to be God whose knowledge is must be beyond time and space i. e. His creation.
Allah knowledge and creation are depicted in this manners in several places in Quran.

    Think of it like this
You are hosting a large dinner located at the end of a rocky road at the top of a hill, and have invited the entire city (List A). but have informed the people of the city that out of those who make the trip up the hill, only those included in a second list (List B), would be allowed in.
So the people of the city decided whether the trip was worth it, with the idea of being turned back after making the difficult trip. Some decided to make the journey while others decided not to go (Free Will)
When those that made the trip reach the venue, all 100% of them were included in the second list (List B) and let in. None of those who decided not to make the trip were on the second list (Predetermination)
Although the group of people at the dinner were predetermined to be there, it was their own free will that lead to the action.

  • @channelname5752
    @channelname5752 3 месяца назад +1

The concept of free will is really in the definition of Islam itself. Islam (submission) means that you have the choice to submit or reject it, since you have the choice to do so it means you have a free will. If you do not have the ability to do so then you would have been in a state of submission or never be able to submit. Along the same line, to have the choice to submit or reject means you have the faculty to do so, this means you have to have the ability to reason, signs of the creator and life and so forth and this is where the rights and/or responsibilities the creation have over the creator and the creator of over the creation come in and this is beautifully captured in the following hadith by Mu‘ādh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was riding behind the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) on a donkey called ‘Ufayr. The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "O Mu‘ādh, do you know what Allah's right upon His servants is, and what the right of His servants upon Him is?" I replied: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "Allah's right upon His servants is that they should worship Him and associate no partners with Him. And the right of the servants upon Allah is that He should not punish whoever associates no partners with Him." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, should I not inform the people of this good news?" He said: "Do not inform them of it, lest they depend on it solely."

I personally, I approach the question of pre-destination in a bit different way which is also derived from the Hadith of Prophet may Allah peace and blessing be on him, when some companions asked about that and whether we should rely on the destiny. He replied to them that (اعملوا فكل ميسر لما خلق له) I would give the example of a novel or movies. Many people read novels or watch movies or tv shows and we watch or read the characters actions in that story, and the characters are the ones who are making the decisions on their will, but have we asked ourselves, actually the writer is the one who create their stories and their actions, but the characters themselves don't know. Yet we enjoy reading the novels or watch the movies/tv shows and we don't contemplate with like "what's the point of reading or watching if the characters actions already pre-determined by the writer?!" the point is we should not spend time on that because we don't have and will not have access to that knowledge of Allah and what Allah has written for us. We should just keep working in this life and be worried about our actions that we will be held accountable for, while at the same time as Muslims we hold the firm beliefs that Allah knows and written everything.

  • @DrZ84
    @DrZ84 3 месяца назад

My understanding of destiny versus free will revolves around the concept of God’s omniscience. Since God knows all outcomes, including our choices, some believe that our paths are predetermined. In this view, our choices are part of a script already written.

I have my own philosophy on the subject of everything written, and God knows best.
Why is it that when a person asks himself this question, he answers, well, God has written for me heaven or hell. If I will not be able to do anything, I will live as I wish!!! But he can do the same thing as me, that God has destined for me to be from Paradise, God willing, and that when He decreed this for me, I choose to do what the people of Paradise do, which is monotheism, prayer, fasting, supplication, and so on😊 . Yes, everything is written, and when you ask yourself this question, why do you then choose not to do anything!! Did you see what you did!! you chose😮, and when I asked myself too, I chose that Paradise was destined for me, and I chose to do what the people of Paradise do. There is also another question: What if no one can explain to you the answer to this question, and you know that 99% of the questions have been answered? The answer to it is, can we cancel all of this and stop at 1%?? What would we do if we knew the answer to this question clearly on the Day of Resurrection? What would we say? Oh, I understood what would benefit me at that time? The opportunity has gone and I feel regret, but on that day regret will not benefit me, because on that day there is either Paradise or Hell. Oh God, make us among the people of Paradise and admit us to it with your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.

I understand his premise, and the way I would simplify it... Also from watching several movies/stories, theories and stuff.
In EPIC, an animated movie, there was a scene where everything is being recorded in this "library" but it's only recording as time moves, as they speak, as they do, as they act. They said something, it records at that moment of that moment.
But to compare it with Islam narrative, Allah created the pen to record every single thing that will happen, to the end of times, not recording as time moves. What we did, what we will do, everything is written. Think of it like this pen instead of writing down what's happening, it sees the future, and only writes it. We are not reliving what has been written, The Pen simply writes our future.
There's multiple movies with similar narrative, like things being recorded and stuff. But I think this is how I would explain it.

I might be wrong, but the way I understood it is, thoughts are not physically constrained, actions are.
I can think to bend my hand backwards, and I can also imagine doing that, but I cannot do it physically.
Our soul was created way before our body, so it has different constraints to it.
That is why our actions are accounted for not thoughts of doing an action.
And since Allah creates every event, He is aware of our thoughts and actions, if an instinct comes to us where we want to punch someone and we choose not to do it, then it is a good deed, and if we do punch following that impulse, it is bad deed.
Allah is aware of both scenarios as he is creating them, but they are chosen by us.

Just because Allah knows what you are going to do does not mean he made the decision for you. And just because Allah wrote down what’s going to happen does not mean Allah cannot change it. For indeed Dua can change Qadr. And for indeed Allah is all powerful. Surely he can create free will in his creation.

I don't think the concept of predestiny is beyond human understanding. I view it as follows: God gave us free will so that we can be tested. God created the universe knowing all the parameters already, and like a scientist who can predict the results of a phenomenon he fully understands, God can predict exactly what will happen at the end of time from the beginning. It will happen no matter what; that is destiny.

    • @naylisyazwina6836

I believe so too. Everything we do is our free will but God allows it to happen. Everything happens by the permission of God and God is all knowing of the past present and future so God already knows the decision we will make but the Luz al mahfuz can change once a year if we do good deeds, follow Islam and pray hard enough. So if it is written we will go to hell, it you put in effort, you can change that to heaven

The concept of pre-destination can be answered logically with Islam. (Surah 3:108) "These are Allah's revelations We recite to you 'O Prophet' in truth. And Allah desires no injustice to 'his' creation". Justice is paramount in Islam and this life is a test. So, pre-delivering your Judgement without you being a witness and living those deeds/misdeeds does not align with justice. Hence, you must witness what you have done, for a just verdict to take place.
    Allah SWT knows best.

    My understanding of Qadr.
Allah creates everything. He is the creator of time and space. And he is beyond time and space. We have past, present and future. But for Allah, past, present and future is irrelevant. He is all knowing and creator of time and space.
We have limited free will. Example. Someone reach an intersection. He can choose path "A" or path "B". So he chooses his own path with his free will. And Allah knows which path he will choose with his knowledge but Allah don't make him to choose.
We have limited knowledge but Allah is all knowing.

6:16 The brother's answer about the predestination up to this point, is not very satisfying. I would imagine if I was that boy, that wouldn't satisfy me. This is from my own analogy, predestination is like a game events. If you play a game you would know this, especially if you're into game development. So in a game the programmer, made a script for a couple of different possibilities or events that could be triggered if the player choose to go or do or said somethings. For example if the player choose dialog A then the response is dialog B, if choose dialog Y then the response is dialog Z etc. Or if the player given the choice between killing a non playable character or to forgive the NPC, it would then triggered different events in the game. So all of the choices and response of possible events are made by the programmer, but to choose which one is the player's free will.

Pre destination is not fully understood and the trouble is many people compare Allaah to programmers, and authors. Allaah is not some sort of boss who we complain to about his creating and will. Allaah does whatever He wills, He creates both good and evil. We have a choice but it is under the will of Allaah. I did not will for myself to have the attributes that I have. If this was the case then the ugly would not will for themselves to be ugly. If we had a will that was like the will of Allaah then we would be willing for all sorts of things. Allaah’s wills is unchanging, unlike our will.

Great work, however I'm not sure thats the best most simple way to explain it... everything is written down Because God's knowledge oversee our choices. he simply knows our choices before we do it.. he does not dictate our action rather knows what we will choose to do. thats why it's written down.
Also it is not beyond our understanding that is miss leading. nothing happens except by his permission he can deny anyone from choosing anything, yet he chooses not to do so.

    To establish argument against us.
For example a teacher will know the results of his students based on his experience with them, but he has to do a test for it to be an evidence for their success or failure.

So some philosophers lean even further and say that you don't decide what you are going to eat. When your body gets hungry, it does a bunch of things and may give you nerve signal to increase your calcium, therefore you only THINK you are deciding what you are going to eat. Every prophet had miracles to show to their nations to believe in them. The Miracle that Allah gave to Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him ) is Quran. The non-believiers seeeking for truth should just read the translation of Quran and decide. That decision is with them if they want to accept the truth or want to impose their own false belief.

God does not make you choose a certain path that decision is yours but because he is the all knowing he knows what decision you will make and has written down your decision yet he has not influenced you to make that decision as you have free will.
