You KNOW I am a massive fan of yours, so I adore all of your tutorials! I love the little ideas you give like that grass around the green tier! But, in this video, the thing that is blowing my mind is how absolutely tiny you can always make the catch lights. Lol. The pig and the ducks especially! Thank you, as always!
Another amazing cake looked really lovely having the cakes side by side instead of tiered . Your animals are very cute. Nursery rhymes are still very much a big part in early years , we love singing them . 🤗🤗. Great tutorial , as always Thankyou . Paula 🤗
Just had to watch this one again. Love how you take the time to show how you made all the animals. Love the trick with the name. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
Beautiful cake!! I so love how you make all your figures streight on the cake and everything just falls perfectly in place in the end. The name transfer trick is super cool idea. Thank you as always. You are the best!!
Another amazing tutorial with loads to techniques.. I just love the way u created all the figures.. Fantastic!!! You're an outstanding Artist ❤️❤️❤️ thanks a lot!! 😍❤️❤️
Oh, I love this one! So creative. I mean, it's perfect for small children without being Peppa Pig or Mickey Mouse. What child doesn't love farm animals?
I'm curious about the foam core. Does it not put customers off knowing its not entirely edible? It looks like it would make some fondant models so much easier to make!
If making the barn from paste - you'd have to add a heck of a lot of tylo powder to make it set hard and rigid so it didn't break during transport or storing. With it setting harder - its not something that would be very nice to eat (like gumpaste or flower paste) so it's still classed as decoration only, to be removed. So why not make it quicker with foamcore if you're still not going to eat it? Love the stuff haha Sugar flowers - although made from an edible medium (sugar!) they are still only intended as decoration rather than something you'd like to eat, due to them being hard and brittle. I'd much rather take everything off and just eat the main cake part :D xx
@@Cherrycakeco Thanks so much for your reply. I hadn't really thought of it like that before, that it probably wouldn't be eaten anyway. I'll definitely keep foam core in mind for my next creation! Love your channel. Xx
@@heatherflippence369 yes, I have to remind myself sometimes too, that even if its made from sugar - a lot of them are still intended as decoration only as they contain so much tylo, or lots of supports etc You have given me another idea for a video! haha Thank you, I think you will love it, it makes things so much quicker! And also easier for the customers to keep if they wish :D x
So cute! I struggle with kid cakes bc often times there in themes I have no clue about and end having to do some googling bc I’ve never heard of the show!
I love your cakes!!! I hope I can be as good as you one day! I make cakes on the side but still working on getting better! Oh and ps your also super funny I love it!
Thank you Bev! No I had plans to when I released the first one, but then I took the decision to merge both company names under just one with a new logo/colour scheme, as people found the 2x companies, 1 x person, 1x set of social accounts too confusing! lol So glad you like your pin! I need a new one now for my new look! x
yup cut on a mat never on my hand ever (f you believe that youll believe anything) lol and now i do my tappits this way it saves me loads of swearing and flying tappits everywhere ;-) i do think old nursery rhymes are still popular well in my house anyway. love this cake ta bird for sharing your knowledge xxx
@@Cherrycakeco if i hadnt seen your post about them id probably got so frustrated with the little blighters they would of been binned, noe i have umpteam of em xx
I love this cake. The animals and farmer are easy to make when shown. My weakness is covering the cake in fondant without it ripping. I use the barrel method which is okay if covering with decorations but I don't like it when it's on show. I have bought some dummies and different brands of fondant to practice and test. What brand do you use Tracy please?
Thanks! Yes, a lot of the time the ripping paste is down to two things - being too hot/cold or simply just the brand. The best one for never seeming to rip is Carma Massa. Try that first, just so you get a feel for it, and know you can cover one without rips. It is pricey, but you just weigh that up with the project at hand etc. I personally use Couture paste which is kind of in between Renshaws (which a lot of people find rips) and the Massa. You'll soon find your personal favourite, but don't be disheartened by the rips...it really is just down to the brand :D x
Hi! I just found your channel and omg your amazing!! I just want to know if you have a tutorial on anything duck themed cake? Because my son is OBSESSED with ducks i want to make it on his 2nd bday next month. ☺️
Aww welcome Zaira! And thank you for the comment. oooo, no don't think I've done ducks yet, just the ones on this cake! I hope he has a fab birthday! x
This is amazing and time-consuming! If it's not too forward of me, how much did you charge for this cake? Also, do you have a video on how to price cakes and how to factor in labour for these fine/laborious details?
I still sing the "Old MacDonald" song to my kids, and the classic stories will not ever stop being charming!
My three year old wanted to tell you how much he loved this video and that he wants one for his birthday! :)
Awww bless him! Thank you!
