Trading Tatis actually makes a lot of sense. It’s probably their only chance at getting out of the Bogaerts and Cronenworth contracts. If Soto can get 765 million and Vlad is gonna get around 550 million why cant Tatis be worth 620 million if he comes with those two? Bogaerts still has about 75 million in value left. Cronenworth about 25 million. Tatis about 520 million. If they want to get out of nine years of hell then trading Tatis is their ticket
Boras is playing the same game with Alonso as he is with Bregman. Its a leverage play. If the Mets and the Astros say they want these guys back they think it will drum up interest from other teams. Boras plays these games all the time.
lol if Pete signs for anything less then what HE wanted , this whole ordeal will make him look weak, Pete should take his Talents to Toronto, ..he will hit 50 hr's hitting behind Vladdy or Santander....at the rogers centre...lol he's foolish for not going to Toronto,
Only thing is I will give sterns and the Mets a lot of credit for a good job cuz they usually don’t let anyone know what they are doing before an actual trade happens.
I see the Rays moving in a stealing Robert’s and he’s a good fit in the Rays roster. The Rays have a history of being a team that does this to unwanted players.
Jimbo , goodmorning sir , Curious on your take w/s.d. /met trade rumor... Cease or king as both have no contracts next yr and stearns does not sign 30yr olds to 5yr deals -is this a waste of farm
Soto is getting 600 million over 10 years, SOTO is an average outfielder, 260 hitter avg 25 Hr, Ohtani a SP who pitches a 100 MPH a 300 hitter 50 HR, 50 SB , think about it ? How many great players like LINDOR can you get for that price? Soto is making 160 million for 2025, that pays 20 million for one year salary contract for 8 great players, not good for Mets, players are going to figure it out and when the Mets don’t win 2025 it’s over.. Ohtani contract says he only makes 2 million 2025…
You’re making Soto look like an AVERAGE hitter!!! He’s one of the best hitters in BASEBALL!!!! Yeah he doesn’t provide the star capital or diversity of talent like Ohtani does. But his production(at least for the 1st 8 years at least) is well worth that money!! Would you be this judgemental of the signing if the Yankees signed him? They were LITERALLY $5 million apart.
@@jimmybonez8928 Soto had a career year in 2024 hitting in front of Judge who gave him protection. Soto is a career .285 AVG and 30 HR hitter and as a fielder, he is a -2.14 DRS which means he sucks a fielder. The only category Soto has led in his career is walks. He led in walks twice. Once 2022 and again 2024. He never led the league in OBP or any other batting and/or offensive stat. I know you need to justify that $805 million over 15 years that Cohen and the Mets gave him, but he's not the 'generational' player that pundits say he is. Sorry... but numbers don't lie. Soto was a massive overpay.
@ $805 MILLION!!!!! Where’d you PULL THAT OUT OF!!!!!???? He’s one of the BEST DAMN HITTERS BECAUSE HE WALKS A TON!!!! Most teams would LOVE TO HAVE HIM IN THEIR LINEUP!! His defense SUCKS ,but who gives a damn!!!!! Do you honestly think he’s a terrible player, or are you just a bot??!! The only reason the Dodgers didn’t pursue him is because they already have high salary position players!!! Not everything is STATS!!! You need to get out of your head more often!!!!
@@jimmybonez8928 Oh wow, all caps and exclamation points-must be serious business. First off, relax. Second, try being informed. The $805 million over 15 years is what Soto gets if he doesn’t opt-out in 2029, because that’s the kind of over-the-top contract Cohen would hand out. But I guess nuance isn’t your strong suit. As for Soto being "one of the BEST DAMN HITTERS BECAUSE HE WALKS A TON"-yeah, nothing screams generational talent like... not swinging the bat. I mean, congrats to him for watching pitches go by. Maybe we should give him a gold star for effort too? And "not everything is STATS"? That’s a bold take when you’re arguing about baseball-literally a sport defined by numbers. And yes, some teams might want a black hole in left field and a massive payroll drain, but intelligent front offices calculate value, not just crave big names. Finally, while "not everything is stats," perhaps you can enlighten us with your superior method of player evaluation? Is it interpretive dance? Reading tea leaves? Because clinging to platitudes while ignoring reality isn't exactly cutting-edge analysis. But sure, let’s ignore things like his slightly above average batting stats and garbage defense because vibes matter more, right? Soto is a good hitter, but "generational"? No. Overpaid? Absolutely. But hey, keep screaming into the void if it makes you feel better. The next time you want to write a killer rebuttal. Do your research. THANKS FOR PLAYING! 🤣
?? Pete already looks weak b/c there’s absolutely NO market for him. His best shot to improve his value is to return to the Mets in a lineup that includes Soto, Lindor, Vientos, ect. He would probably be abt the 4th best hitter on the Mets(a lot less pressure)
I trust passan opinion on Pete yesterday is that Pete is Avery underrated he said if you analyze his overall hitting metrics he is worth the money and passan knows is stuff
Opening Day is coming fast and furious, and you can't make trades come Opening Day so hurry up folks! Players should NOT BE ALLOWED to Sign in Spring Training 🙄 😤
Hey Jim! Not sure if I'm a 100%, but certainly a regular. Because, your stuff keeps me engaged. Thx I've mentioned about you to Scott @ Locked On Tigers where I AM 💯.
King to Mets sounds good
King to Mets would complete the Mets pitching imo!
I been yelling for an ace. So yes please. For good measure why not sign flaherty too lol. And Pete. And one more arm for the pen. Then LFGWSM

The clock is ticking. These big market free agents need to start thinking about playing ball and decide on a team
Bro I actually love this guys videos
If I have a prediction same as him it’s a good prediction in my book
What website has the depth chart with those projected playing time percentages?
Boras is playing the same game with Alonso as he is with Bregman. Its a leverage play. If the Mets and the Astros say they want these guys back they think it will drum up interest from other teams. Boras plays these games all the time.
Alonso apparently is close to a Mets deal. 3 years 73 million front loaded with opt outs. Jays didn’t have a chance
@ your mom

I agree many internal options for 3rd, need best bat available
Only thing is I will give sterns and the Mets a lot of credit for a good job cuz they usually don’t let anyone know what they are doing before an actual trade happens.
White sox need to trade Robert now
Dodgers a good fit. They need one more outfielder
Spring training coming soon. Guys need to sign soon or their wives get restless

Exactly with Sprout about ready
you forgot griffin canning.
The Blue Jays need OBP and better defense.
That Soto contract is ridiculous, they're ruining the game
Mariners not spending any money 😒 and having a Little League lineup is so Annoying 🔥
All smoke screens by stearns he always acts like he’s on everything
Toronto got max so Pete def a met. Any day guys. And yes Mets need an ace bad. That and Pete and I’m happy.
Scott Boras isn't as good as he thinks if he can't get Pete Alonso and Alex Bregman 🙄 🤷 🤣 Contracts!!!!
If you aren’t careful while cooking, you’re either going to burn the food, hurt yourself, or both. 🤷🏻♂️
Surprised Yandy Diaz hasn't been moved by Tampa Bay

I don't want batty in the lineup
If they let tatis go, that would be padres rolling over.

Cubs go get King/Suarez!
Pete Alonso Needs to leave the Mets simply for the Disrespect he has received 😤 by the Mets!
Bro stop it.
Opening Day is coming fast and furious, and you can't make trades come Opening Day so hurry up folks! Players should NOT BE ALLOWED to Sign in Spring Training 🙄 😤
mets need resign alonso on a long term contract
How can the Dodgers rank 5th with 5 capable closers? Those projections are off
It's somebody's opinion. Means nothing. Why get upset over nothing??
@ no its not
Bluejays could not land a Deal for a Cheeseburger if their lives depended on it!
