I use aggressive catch onhigh passes. Also, If Im usering a receiver and Im breaking off a route, I will use aggressive catch. Like a deep cross pattern, I might lead them, and user the WR, undercut the pattern, then aggressive catch.

First (I can’t say for sure this is true but it certainly seems that way from my experience) your defense in practice mode is god tier. I’ve read other places that it’s something with the games code so it won’t be that bad in games. And lastly there’s certain routes where I’ve noticed you can high ball to where they either are in the end zone or just won’t get hit afterwards.
if you have space like you do in the video close to the sidelines. You prolly want to RAC catch, as it turns him upfield instead of running him outta bounds like it did in madden. Aggressive catches also work close to the sideline as the receiver will forcefully go catch the ball and forcefully try to get a foot down.
You can also tap the catch button you want once the ball is in the air as well, but I can see why in certain scenarios it would be better to hold the button.
@@gunstariq you can do that. But you can’t control the receiver with it, just the catch mechanic. If you wanna user you gotta switch first and then press whatever catch animation you want. I tap the button while it’s in the air only if it’s something I need to chase after and don’t wanna either miss it or press turbo to track it down. You can’t catch a ball early like that either, so if you need to grab it before a defender does you’re cooked fr. Clicking on is way more OP than tapping or holding without clicking on first

Aggressive catching also cuts the ball off if you’re infront of the defender or they’re playing over the top. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve mossed people tryna play over top of a speedy receiver. No lead or underthrow and it’s a head tap 8/10
Yeah I was curious hearing him say that bc from my experience, 99% of ppl online only use aggressive catching. I played a guy last week that I was completely shocked how he was able to throw into double coverage or lob bad balls but he was so good at usering and cutting in front of me I couldn’t stop him.

You madden dudes just more comfortable with it, revamped 20 speed no increase eats that shit for breakfast lunch and dinner, but ima true CFB head been playing ncaa since 2004. I will NEVER switch to a madden mechanic, and trust I average about 20-30 interceptions a season in dynasty. Most of them from p&a guys . . . And I can tell the difference in game, either you gotta throw a PERFECT lead or I’m taking it the other way idgaf if you high ball it or not. Only time I have problems with revamped is with a cold QB or in an OP away game tbh. Done had plenty 5k yard seasons at QB and currently going on my 2nd 2k receiving season with Jelani Watkins. Tbh revamped 20 speed and no increase is literally like 7 speed medium/large increase P&A just without the visual bubble. And you can still throw dots with red passes on revamped lmao it’s just gone be a low ball fr not a complete 🦆 like when you throw bad passes on P&A

Do you play online or strictly off-line?
You wanna use aggressive catch on 50/50 balls. Especially if your player is taller or has high spec catch. Just missed a dude last night for the game winner 😂
You missing out not knowing how to use aggressive catch, if you have a big body receiver or TE you can place the ball & throw back shoulders all day. you just have to switch to the receiver & stop his momentum to adjust to the ball/create space.
@@cutigeralum1 depends. If it’s man and he’s pressed, I try to put him on a streak/go route. If it’s man and it’s not press, zig routes are good as well as speed out routes (if on the outside). If it’s zone I just do clear out routes.
@ what if they come out in a mix coverage. Do the same principles apply? If he calls like a Tampa 2 and comes out in a cover 2 man shell will the defense still adjust or will it play by its shell’s principles? What about like a cover 6? Sorry for all the questions 😂
@ it’s all good! Defense will always play however the play is. So if it’s Tampa 2 with a Cover 2 man shell, it will still play out as Tampa 2 but the defense could be a little out of position. I’m not too family with cover 6 tbh.
@@aardvark870 flood concepts torch cover 3 (especially corner routes. Switch concepts and wheel routes do well vs. cover 4. But always plan to use clear out routes as well and hit the under neath throws.

I use the spectacular catch close to the end zone when I have a one on one matchup.
