I've been there. The bridge will not wait forever. I even had a 55# minn kota pushing. You can't row against falling tide in between a bridge. The ventury effect is there. ie the water flows faster under the bridge. I had to get an outboard motor to get through
Nice video, i Holland we pull the boat with a line (high in the mast) get on land and pull, (jagen). It might have helped but this is epic!
Very interesting and nicely shot film.
Been under that bridge and through that cut many a time aboard the RV Jere Chase
I went through there in a 22 foot sailboat with an 8 hp engine and I just barely made it.
I broke my record and got stuck at the bridge 7 times today, all I can think is these idiots are holding up traffic

Look at all the backed up traffic! >
I'm surprised the attempted that. With twin 300hp engines in my boat, it can be a daunting task...! Exhausting work.
Wish I was on the boat!
I used to operate this bride..on the in and out tides it can be very dangerousbecause of the bottle neck
i did this last year on the old boats. with less of a tide
first Outward Bound boats were designed by Cy Hamlin.
i thought i knew that bridge
Nice try, everybody! See you in Maine!
Keyword 'Trying'. This is stupid. Holding up traffic. Just tow them through the canal.
