i love watching these downsizing kpop collection videos!! I actually just the past two weeks have been going through my collection too and seeing what I need to let go...and it feels really good just to go through and declutter a little!! And sometimes looking at my bigger items like photobooks and such and saying like did i actually need this?? and then i look through the photos and im like yep defff DIDD, i love it proud of myself for buying it at the time LOLL. Really not looking forward to selling only because its just a lot of work.... =/ and idk if ill be able to but has to be done!
I've been trying to collect less in general but especially albums bc they're more expensive and harder to resell. you never know when a group or item won't spark joy anymore, it can be really heartbreaking :(( now i only buy my ults' albums
Kpop really is interesting cuz for "normal" music i don't really listen to albums in full which makes me not want to own them (with some exceptions obvs) but with kpop i feel like listening to bsides of ur faves is a must and checking out at least the tt of others even if u don't stan is fun, so i end up wanting to collect kpop more than other music. As of right now i wanna finish my bts album collection. I was really motivated to get all the versions when i started but right now I'm missing some and I'm in no rush to get them :) I also buy one (used) version of aespa's album cuz they're my female ults and i want to own their music but I'm in no rush and i buy one version for Bibi because her music is limited since she's a soloist and I'm scared it'll sell out😅
I recently downsized myself and it's weird seeing other persons process, since for me it was more of a "I will never have a complete collection of this artist, so why keep just one album" and then seeing you only potentially just keeping 1 album for an artist
i think that's the most interesting thing about collecting is that everyone's motivations are going to be different and as a result everyone's collection will look different 😄 makes it more interesting lol
13:00 if i remember well speaking of marie kondo the spark joy rule also applied to gifts hehe so if that album doesn’t spark joy feel free to let it go ☺️

true, it can be really sad letting a group go 😢
I swear I’ve never seen someone have girlkind albums, I totally loved their first two songs. They were talented
