    I'm a fan of Taurus and have a G3c, G3, TX22 and a 6"M66 357 magnum AND a Rossi 22 rio bravo lever rifle in wood. Love them, all have been great for my needs and budget! I really like the 605 Executive with the hammer! I also love that 327 3" toro but if possible I would add a hammer to it if the single action is still operable?? The new single action cowboy revolver is interesting to me but have never even shot one lol! I like other models they have too and am sure I will end up adding some more eventually! Thanks for sharing and Thanks Taurus for making some nice firearms affordable for many who otherwise couldnt afford them! 👍👍

    I just recently purchased a new Taurus 942. It was defective out of the box, would not ignite any primers. Sent it back to Taurus, after waiting 3 weeks for an update they finally answered their customer service line. They said the frame was so defective they would need to destroy the firearm and issue me a new one, replacing the serial number. Wait 8 weeks for delivery and I have to do an FFL transfer AND pay for it. Just a heads up.

    I have had a few pistols from Taurus, but favorite is the old 709 slim. Bought it when it came out , it will shoot anything that is loaded in it without failure. Thought about trading it a few times but I don't think that it will ever happen. Wish they still made them so I could a couple more.

    • @GizzardGary
      @GizzardGary 7 месяцев назад

      Yes, the 709 Slim gave way to the G2S, I believe, which also is no longer made. I do not see a G3S offered at this time. The G2S had virtually the same slide as the G2C, with a slightly thinner grip, so it wasn't much smaller overall than the full-size model. I don't think it was a big seller. Everyone wants bigger capacity now, it seems.

    G2C/TX22 owner here. My G2C had a few failures at first due to me not knowing correct cleaning/oiling/hold procedures. First round ever shot was a steel case, it got stuck. I think after the 2-3k rds I've shot ( all brass and a few alum) it would probably cycle steel now. The TX22, everyone should own. Best 22lr I've ever owned. Literally a blast. I upgraded both pistols with an erray of Lakeline guide rods, fiber optic sites etc. The G2C has had no failures with my EDC ammo to date. I carry Speer gold dot 115gr. The TX22 prefers standard ammo. CCI/AGUILA lead( less recoil=less wear) I've had 3 slides break at the brittle point at the muzzle end on my TX22( it has to be a common issue) .Taurus really does stand behind their products. If you're the original REGISTERED owner, call them, they send a label, they just install an entire new top slide (so take off any aftermarket optics etc.) and send it back. It took literally 1 week from me posting it in KY, going to GA, repaired by Taurus and back in my hands in KY 7 days total. Taurus is and will be the only line of pistols I'll carry and trust. Just too much greatness for one comment. Thank you Taurus. You are the example of what a firearm company should be in every way. Hope someone enjoys and learns a bit from my comment.

    The GX4 is fantastic. I’ve had the G2 mill pro since it came out wayyy back. It has several thousands of rounds through it.
    The GX4 is improved on purchase in hand. It feels good and secure.
    The TX22 is a serious comp shooter. It’s fast. The action does not delay your trigger pull speed. Run it as fast as you can squeeze and it’ll outpace your ability.
    Everyone’s creeping to Canick which I own an sftx and it’s fantastic but Taurus keeps their prices right. Canicks jacked their prices up three times putting it into mid grade. competition.
    The home defender , although a niche gun, can be affective from the hip with high spread 410’s I’m sure.
    410’s are great because the report and the recoil is minimal and followUps much easier to do.

The last one that I got was a g3c last year in november. Took er home, oiled her and cleaned out the factory grease. Brought it to the range next day and after firing a box of remington 9mm the gun no longer fired. Took the gun apart to find out why only to find that the firing pin broke in two pieces. Contacted good ol taurus to get it taken care of like last time. Still havent gotten that gun back and once I do I am going to sell it for 20 bucks like those guns are worth.

Spent 70 dollars on special shipping that they required, and it was just a big waste of money. The thing could kill the shooter with bad cycle timing. I got to the point that I didnt want to carry my G19 anymore...too big/heavy.....getting old sucks, and i do not recommend it!!
    Anyway, I bought the G3C and was pretty well impressed with it. I can shoot it well, and it has performed flawlessly in the ~2500 rounds I put through it. I saw the GX4 and thought I'd give it a try and it is a very nice, well done pistol....BUT....I can NOT shoot it well. I tried everything to get it to where I needed to be and nothing worked. Sold it to a friend who LOVES IT!!! Back to the G3C and that is just fine as it does exactly what I want it to do, which is hits what I aim at and stays ON ME when I go out.
    And THAT is the important part!!! I may see if there is a local range that has a GX4 Carry for me to try, and I am intrigued by it!!
    I AM going to get that 327 in the 3" I think.

    They should have released
    a 7 shot 9mm revolver with a 3in non-ported revolver…
    9mm out performs the 38spl , less recoil than a 357 mag
    and has a unbelievable amount of self defense loads and bullet weights from 90grs to 150grs
    Standard pressure, +P & +P+
    Even hardcast offerings
    9mm is much less expensive, which equals more practice

    • @GizzardGary
      @GizzardGary 7 месяцев назад

      Well, they do already have the 905 Concealed Hammer, which is a 9mm revolver with a 3 inch barrel. It's only a 5-shot cylinder - not sure you could squeeze in 7 on that cylinder, you want plenty of steel between each chamber, especially given the pressures of 9mm. But, it's close to what you were wanting.

  • @briantruxtonjr.6108
    @briantruxtonjr.6108 8 месяцев назад +2

    Is 327 really that good compared to 9mm?

    • @GizzardGary
      @GizzardGary 8 месяцев назад +1

      I think that .327 is geared more as a replacement for .380ACP - a low-recoil option that compares better ballistically, closer to 9mm, with a larger mag capacity than .380ACP also. So, for shooters that are recoil-sensitive, it might be a better option.

      @@GizzardGary ok I understand that I mean the couple videos I've watched and charts I've seen 327 mag seems to far exceed 380 ballistics you're definitely not getting penetration like that out of 380. But i can definitely see how a revolver would lend itself to being much easier to shoot in 327 than 357 or even 9 with excellent ballistics. I can see why someone would pick it over 9mm. I'm always interested in "niche" rounds but I never buy any lol.

      They had those in a separate display. This was primarily focused on the Taurus brand name. Let me know if you would like me to do a separate video on Rossi and Heritage in the future.

    They definitely need to bring more stainless revolvers out not the matte ones. Also real blued ones not that ugly flat black.
