NOLA 38, a local New Orleans station, interviewed Allison Harvard before the Wednesday premiere of Cycle 12 of America's Next Top Model. They have quite a few segments with Allison, including one about her love of nosebleeds, one about what Tyra's like off camera, one about her favorite television show and one about what kind of music she listens to!

I LOVE her. She's like a breath of fresh air. I feel like the other girls are just more sexualized if that makes sense. They're concerned about taking sexy photos. Allison is more concerned about making an actual piece of art. She's a very beautiful girl and her nonsexual sense of art and modeling is what makes her sexy.

because she has a fascination with blood - specifically nosebleeds. In episode 8 you get to see a bit of her art - black and white portrait, accented with a red streak of blood. :)
If you look up Elite Modeling Management on Wiki, Allison Harvard is on the representative list. My guess is she either won or made it a long way through the competition. Hope she wins though, she definitely deserves it. :D

She's SO adorable and beautiful, in the most unique and exquisite way. And yeah it's great to see that she seems intelligent too, and obviously creative. Very inspirational in my opinion... and I agree that there is something quite pretty about blood/nosebleeds. x]

I kinda see a bit of myself in her, we have a similar personality, me and Allison. I was so happy to hear that she also likes the photography aspect of the show and not just the modeling part itself. I was always into the show because some of the photoshoots were simply beautiful. Allison is a beautiful young artist.

I wish a could find the covergirl commercial she shot. when her hair was up she looked like an angel. I wish she'd do a bit more with her hair, but she's still gorgeous. definitely one of my favorites. she should have won.
The funny thing is at the start of the cycle I doubt people looked at her and said "wow, I bet this girl is going to be in the top 2". they probably wrote her off as weird, yet look at how far she got and how talented she is!

her pre-modeling photos look way better.. she looks better without makeup and with normal hair.

There's only 2 girls I've actully cared about on Top Model History, Heather from Cycle 9 (Like her, I grew up with the Asperger's so I rooted for her) and Allison cause I've also always been the weird guy.

well your not suppose to give away or give any sort of hint what so over that you one so of course the way she is talking isnt going to make it seem like she won but you really never know and i remember watching an interview of mckey and it seemed like she did not win b/c of the things she was saying so you never know until you see it
I apologize, arquettefan; that came out wrong. I think several girls (such as Danielle c6, Lisa c9, Fatima c10, and both Teyona and Aminat c12) were very, very strong competitors. What I meant to say was there were, unfortunately, even stronger contestants in those girls' cycles (Joanie c6, Jenah c9, Katarzyna c10, and both Allison and Celia c12, in my opinion). Is that less vile-sounding? I don't mean to come off as nasty or insensitive.

I get many nose bleeds,ever since I was little.
i really thinks it's weird. i mean the way she fixes her hair behind her ear.. like there's still hair over the side of her face. like she doesnt keep all her hair away when tapping it behind her ear.. lol... idk... even before she had her makeover it's still like that..

If she didn't want it, why would she have practiced so hard to do such a good job at the finals? Like really, compare her to before, she worked hard for it.
This is the only girl who doesn't have a really irritating personality...Aminat is too obnoxious to actually get the contract.
Um, I'm not sure how to respond to what your saying about there not being a black model not being good enough to win since Cycle 5. I liked girls like Fatima, Ebony Cycle 9, or Lisa Cycle 9. It's just too bad they weren't chosen over another girl.
But I have noticed that thin blonde models had been getting the short end of the stick. I wouldn't consider Nik blonde. But Shannon did not do a photoshoot and Samantha wasn't as good as McKey. Anya definitely deserved to win over Whitney, of course.

Yes! Absolutely! I'm so pissed about that! The only winner of African descent who actually deserved the title was Eva (Yaya would've done well too). Mercedes and Nik deserved the cycle 2 and 5 winner titles. No African-American contestant since Nik has had enough talent.
Ever notice how the blond girl in the final two always loses to the non-blond? Shannon, Kahlen, Nik (technically), Joanie, Chantal, Samantha, Allison? o_O

i really hope teyona doesn't win, i think she has skills as a model but i just find her so boring. allison is far more unique and i hope the judges value that more than just another clone of what a good model is
