I love that Runeterra update/fix the designs of the champs, Seraphine now looks like she fits in Piltover unlike her design in League.
Yup now she can fully kill scarners!
It’s always been a costume. I’ve never seen the problem with her design.
Shes performing in Zaun so shes wearing less glamourous outfits.
She doesnt have to wear less if shes in Piltover where they love flashy outfits and in broad daylight.
@@zat1245 The main issue with Seraphine's League design is that it still feels a little out there for the setting. It feels less like she's Runeterra's version of an idol singer and more like an actual idol singer from the real world who got shoved into Runeterra, if that makes sense. Her level 2 art here helps set Seraphine apart more from the K/DA version.

new design working so well with making her not just random pop star but fitting in with pilltover style, seemingly she also meets and has a concert with some kind of zaunite guitarist. I really love it, I don't think sera was as bad as people say in lore but she desperately just needed something to tie her more to the actual pilltover and zaun, now that we see her actual fans and other musicians it makes it so she doesn't just seem weird and out of place
Her playing pop songs in Piltover and rock in Zaun is such a good touch

Worst part of seraphine is that they just ripped Sona's entire concept (except the mute part) and about 80% of her abilities + 20% Karma. It was unoriginal and uninteresting. This is for sure a colossal step in the right direction

Her E is more similar to Neekos E, when it’s an upgraded E might as well be Neekos E + a slow from her initial hit.. Her W/R are sona yes but don’t say 80% it’s beyond false and it’s annoying when ppl say it’s legit only sona 😂 when it’s just wrong.

Genuinely massively improved design. Seeing the human civilian part of her, making her seem like someone who lives in runeterra via her interactions
And her level up is just gorgeous. Her level up design tweaks just a few parts of the base form, but it does so much to make her look like she's from pilthover.

@@Mr_Mistah becuase I love the world and lore of Runeterra in riots other games and media, and LoR has beautiful art and expands amazingly on the what would be lacking lore of lol. But I've never played a card game before so I've always just enjoyed LoR for its lore but never played
Plus if you watch necrit, tbskyen or various other lol creators they always mention and compliment LoR's handling of lore and design

And gameplay wise seems real interesting! I'm confused what exactly 'New' means, I appreciate how it showed that the meditation didn't get copied, but what distinguishes 'New' from 'Different'? Or is 'New' both 'Different' AND 'Created'?
"New" means unique cards you haven't played before - think subpurrsible.
I think new as in as long as you haven't cast it yet for the whole game. So if you cast something like Mystic Shot, it will count 1 then it won't count into her level up anymore after that.
I think "New" Means it hasn't been played this game, look at the meditation spell
a new spell means you've not played it this game and it isn't in your deck

God this makes me so happy, Seraphine has a really cuestionable design and lore but we can all agree that with some minor changes it could be a really great addition to PnZ as a region on how we see another aspect of the world and I just love what they did here

I can totally see Karma being rotated out now, she pretty much does what Karma wants to do but easier. Yes, she doesn't play much with high cost spells, but she's all about duplicating spells far earlier and discounting spells so they're more affordable. On the other hand I'm not the greatest fan of manifesting because of the high variance and luck reliance that it causes.
Also hate how much I really like her level up. Now I need a cursed Skarner emote to spam whenever she comes into play.

Unlike Karma, Seraphine can only duplicate new spells. If you want to duplicate a spell more than once you need to go with Karma.
Or just go Karma Seraphine because you want to hurt someone's feelings with a billion shrooms

@@leetri Yeah, the Karma playstyle is completely different too, being able to doublecast Deny and Vengeance (and recur doublecast Go Hard) is a staple of Spooky Karma's playstyle and power.
Finally now this game is worth downloading. Literally only would ever play this game because of her so glad she's officially going to be in the game now!

Finally not only she's just some Instagram singer, she's a also an actual Piltovan gadgeteer. If only they had that concept in the first place then they wouldn't have so much backlash.

I mean, her lore was already tweaked a little, so that now she doesn't exactly hear the brackern inside the crystal, but she is still trying to communicate with it and change Piltover's ways. Not sure if LOR is going to bring more to that, but hopefully

Ok I must say I actually like her lvl 1 design, she actually looks a lot more Piltovan rather than the generic idol that her lvl 2 has. But I do think Seraphine has a lot of cool combinations:
Yi- the obvious one since Yi reduces the costs of spells so if he manages to reduce a cost to 2 or less then he'll help Seraphine lvl up and Seraphine can copy the discounted spell.
Ezreal- Seraphine's champion spell will progress Ezreal's lvl up by 2 and in general she can generate a lot of value while letting Ezreal close out the game. Not to mention that that with spells like Mystic Shot Seraphine can actually do a lot of burn damage.
Teemo- while it does seem like an odd combination it actually makes sense since Seraphine can just be a value engine for a puffcap deck and her lvl 2 can copy Mushroom Cloud (the card that shuffles 5 puffcaps) so she can shuffle 10 puffcaps with that combination, and with a follower like Puffcap Peddler that combination will help shuffling a lot of puffcaps. Also, because both Seraphine and Teemo are from PNZ they can actually go to any region they want so you can put them in BC from more value (and Sera can copy Poison Dart and Poki Stick, both of which are great options for her), or they can go to Frejlord to apply a slower gameplan.
Nami- sadly Seraphine and Nami can work really well together because Nami wants you to use cheap spells and if you have both Seraphine and Nami on the board then yeah you're in trouble for sure.
Viktor- Viktor works well with created cards and he can also discount spells with his lvl 2 so Seraphine can potentially copy more spells. Not to mention that if she copies Viktor's spell then Viktor will trigger augment twice and will gain 2 keywords. And same argument as Teemo, both Seraphine and Viktor are in PNZ thus you can put them in a region which lets you slow the game down while also providing protection like Ionia, Frejlord or Targon.
Overall Seraphine seems like a very powerful champion and I think she might be the best PNZ champion due to her sheer flexibility. She doesn't have an high deckbuilding cost and she has 1/4 stats for 2 mana meaning she can block well and she is a lot harder to remove. Maybe Seraphine is the champion PNZ needed in order to have more flexibility.
You have to take that her text says when you play a NEW 2 cost spell, that means spells that you havent play before

PnZ has some good random card generator, maybe splash in bandle city to make more advantage. And we could grab nora, timeline, barkeep, and other card for rng shenanigan

Really like her character design. She's going to be strong but she doesn't feel OP, just a nice balance. Now if only you guys could find that for Nami because she's out of control and will only get worse with all these new cards.

The entire aesthetic for Seraphine here is a ln impressive improvement. Her feel and design feels alot more grounded herr whereas her original one felt too Pultovan and upper class for her message and story here she dresses herself as more neutral drawing in people from both sides.
Her interaction with the Zaun Dive both in VLs, their full art and her level up quote helps this as well.

Love that she actually looks Piltovan, but also that she actually kinda looks half-Asian. We know she's half-Chinese in the K/DA universe but it wasn't clear if that applied in League. Also apparently her pink hair is dyed? Neat.
I think her being Asian is coded not explicitly stated, since real world regions don't exist in Runeterra. It's like how Zeri is explicitly coded as a Filipino, with Filipino food appearing on her story and even her voicelines. Might be the same case as Seraphine, I know Piltover has some fair Asian looking characters like Caitlyn.
@legoatoom I guess, it can be seen that way. Coding seems like an easier way for me to explain the process, though I don't think modeling applies to everything I said, only a good portion.

the image at the start should have been the splash art of seraphine when launched in LOL. she looks like normal piltovean girl that died her hair. is a thinkerer with machines like everyone else and looks like an academy student. is this was the splash art of her launch and her lore was "hey I was a normal academy student but got this weird power and now I wanna sing lets go and make some gear, tint my hair,and byke away to the concert, btw my rep is an squirrel"nobody would had complained. this sera here has actually a lot more in common with the relatable sera from twitter than the one they launched in lol looked like a plastic doll with shallow personality.

I like how implemented the level up animation is, the transformation from the Piltovian wear to a Popstar one tells more that she isn't dressed like the sparkly one she is everytime in her lore, that it is just a costume or a persona for the audiences.

Seraphine now looks like she actually belongs to Piltover, we can actually see how she looks like offstage, she's surrounded by fans but she will have haters anyway (which already had in LoR, but after every player ditched her), and best of all, she looks and feels like her own character. She's not doing music to support, accelerate and attack like Sona. No no no. She's creating, going with everyone else's own "flow", preparing for her chorus, and ready to encore after hearing new voices along the way.
Just imagine a new interaction with Skarner. As an opponent, Skarner would obviously grab her and avenge his kind because history remains the same. As an ally, however, and taking advantage of some of the "what if" scenarios on LoR, it can be an actual synergy, where somehow the spells make Skarner's stats bigger each time, and Skarner takes down any opponent that seems like a threat to the songstress.
Seraphine's finally becoming the champion she needed to be.
But, we did know all that since her release. However I really like the idea of Skarner-Sera synergy!
Funny before Seraphine nobody cared about Skarner.
Now suddenly everyone loves Skarner despite the fact that literally nobody plays him in the game.
If anything, Seraphine made Skarner relevant
