Main reason I subscribed your channel is awesome view that we can see much clearly almost like third party. I am 62 yrs old deaf man. I am very aviation buff that I always reading airplanes books since I was kid that sometime I fall asleep in library overnight. When I was younger man, I rescued injured redtail hawk that I asked to meet rehab lady at saloon in small town and patron saw me and we end up talk about hawk as I already learned a lot about raptors. After rehab lady pick hawk up, he offered me a ride on his helicopter That gave me a lot of burst of excite. He did allow me play with joystick and rubber as we was flying over beach.(central coast of California) Now I am old man living at DFW area playing flying simulator. I started thinking of getting MSFS and I got curious about learning to flying helicopter for sheer challenge. That's how I saw your channel and I was so happy seeing best viewing how you flying with control. One biggest curious for me is how easy to learning to using collective pitch control. I wonder if it is similar to clutch pedal that I learned to using manual shift when I was teenager. I know that flight simulator don't give me vibration feeling to sense engine running and other stuff. I already found out one of two deaf helicopter pilots exist. I tried contact him but his video was very old. His name is Mike Friess that you can find him if you search "deaf helicopter pilot" also there are deaf pilot club too. You can find on website "www deafpilots. org/" I am aware of FAA rules for deaf pilots that can't fly near major airports. I am so sure your area Alaska sure allow deaf pilot fly bush plane around much wide. Cool! I am sorry for chatting off. I better stop now to let you reply me. P.S. I will asking you about helicopter autorotation landing later as I understand it was very important to learning and pass examine. I already watching several videos about that autorotation but I would like to hear how many fail autoroation exam before you able pass that one even some hints. My name is Glenn. NIce meeting you.
Wow! That's amazing about the red-tailed hawk and the helicopter ride! I will search Mike Friess. His story is a great example that anything is possible. Thank you for sharing your story Glenn, very pleased to meet you. I will share some autorotation videos for you. I learned it as a student and then as a flight instructor, I got very very comfortable with them...sometimes use it just to descend while in the mountains. The collective/cyclic/pedals all move together like a dance, but most of the time in forward flight, it's just cyclic pressure...pedals and collective stay put. The simulator will be very helpful for figuring out the "dance."
@@HeliPilotLeigh Thank you that's awesome😍😍. Even you are deaf, will you able feeling different in pitch, rev and other like that on collective control with your hand even on seat under you like fly by the seat Oh you like dance. May I ask you silly question. Do you enjoy watching anime? One of my favorite anime It is called "The Princess and the Pilot" I am sure you will love watch this show. If you have problem find that movie, I will get link for you. There are so many anime show base on aviation. Talk later.
Glenn, I tried to add captions to today's Shorts video post on the LAX transition, but it didn't work well as there was a lot of fast radio communications. And having you in mind, I then did my best to edit the auto generated ones here on YT. But it's far from perfect....lol. Just fair warning when you watch it.
@@HeliPilotLeigh Ah, I saw that one. Is that"5HM" mean Uh-60 Black hawk mean. I understand about difficult to get all radio communication. I learned about ATC and pilots chat from watch youtube how airlines crashed many time. Thank you for head up. I had a lot of thought all day today. I got to let you know that I need to calm my excite down. I am going to learning helicopter language like learning glossary and study anatomy Of the helicopter I already learned what Mast Slamming is (scary! ) last night I already knew most of airplane stuff but never thought of helicopter until I saw video showing helicopter simulator with joystick and collective stick that cause me burst into interesting trying fly helicopter in realistic simulator instead of using keyboard and basic joystick. I am so happy how awful nice you are.
"I found a hole and jumped in my helicopter, as you do, to go hover in it and found an ice cave along the way" 😂. I need to get back down there to hang with you again and go see this spot! Also I like how Flying Eyes has a a not so subtle product placement in the bottom of the screen! They need to sponsor your videos lol
In last of part of your video as you was landing, I had an idea as; similar to car's rearview camera, can tiny camera add in rear of under cabin view to both of skids? That would help seeing how stable landing will be on loose, uneven ground?
Beautiful Views amazing Chopper Pilot New Subscriber just found you & Love to Fly not an Pilot but Lucky to live 1 miles from local air ports last 50 ys & Know several Pilots friends that allow me to Right seat fixed wing a lot ..No Chopper flights yet but hopefully one day soon
