If it only measured ppm/tds. I don't need to pay 180$ just to measure temp and pH basically.
multipy EC X 500 and you will have your PPM. that is what i have learned. :-)
It does measures ec, ppm/tds idk why he didn’t say that and actually you can read pH in soil and solutions making it the best 3 in one mobile tester

@@BicycleJoeTomasello I personally use this meter every day I grow in coco so I don’t need to soil test ph but if I went outside I could easily do a soil sample
Do the probes need to kept wet?
As someone who has been in the horticulture game for over 15 years, and still gets the sweetest fruit, combined with amazing yields, I spent 7 days monitoring the exact ph level of my tap water daily. Then add food to a certain amount of water until I had the best balance of ph and food for the exact amount of water I needed. So I could knock up enough food for a week in seconds. This truncheon is just a way to make you lazy and spend money you absolutely do not need to.

Yeah this meter will read EC (PPM) and pH.
Can't decide on this or the pen combo lol
The deciding factor for most people is that you can replace the pH probes on the Combo Meter, which after a few years comes out cheaper than replacing the pH pen.
